Remember when we all found out that Don Baylor was going to be the new Cubs manager because somebody posted his bio on the Cubs Web site too early? The same thing has happened at the University of Illinois.
The Illini inadvertantly posted Jeff Van Gundy’s bio on the official Web site, before even formally coming to an agreement with him. But our sources deep inside the teepee say that it’s going to happen.

It’s really not that big a stretch to think that Jeff will be a very successful head coach in college. Let’s just hope he’s better than his brother Stan was at Wisconsin.
