We’re Cubs fans, we wouldn’t know what to do with ourselves if it was “easy.” Carlos Zambrano mowed them down in Cincinnati, an old friend did just enough in his start in Milwaukee and the all-time saves leader made it look…well…easy, and the Cubs, who had the worst record in the National League last year are the first team in the National League to punch their ticket to the playoffs.
Holy shit. I can breathe again!
Fuck Yea. I am drinking South Florida Dry tonight.
There’s a W flag flying here tonight.
Who designed the NL Central Champs hats, Kyle Farnsworth?
Four postseasons in a lifetime. So, this is what the 1930’s felt like.
A couple of years overdue… but it feels GOOOOOOOOD
How many of you are enjoying seeing a sopping wet me?
Fucking best sound in the world…
WHEEEEEEeeeeeee!!
The Roots blaring on the clubhouse stereo prove that the Cubs have me…
I thought I saw Dave Kaplan in the middle of the celebration. Turned out it was just a rat that had crawled up through the plumbing.
Rock on “Flagpole on the Texas Prairie.” If I had a W flag I’d be doing the same here in East Texas
I hadn’t been this wet since Corey got traded!
By shouting “Hell’s Bells!” when Trevor Hoffman nailed down the clinching out in Milwaukee…
in your face milwaukee!
[burp]
Best fucking birthday present ever!
Kaplan’s playing a new “rap” version of Go Cubs Go. I hope he gets hit in the face with a leaky bag of syphillis.
Thanks Uncle Lou for getting them into the post season. Keep it going.

.
Dose = win.
Told ya.
Andy better freaking dose every day of the playoffs…..
Never thought it’d happen. God bless Maddux. Now the whining about the post season roster can begin. Here’s hoping Lou forgets how to spell Dempser….though I know it won’t happen. Sweet dreams Ogden’s.
Oh, I don’t know. I’m going to be awfully busy.
Well, if you’re going to twist my arm…
Go Cubs
Go Cubs!!
Took me two months to un-Dusty these fuckers. Hell, we’d have won 117 games if we didn’t have to go through that crap.
Oh, yeah, you are all fucking welcome!
Holy crap, I am so waking up stinking of booze tomorrow…
IN YOUR FACE MILWAUKEE!
Indeed.
Hey, we’re pretty ****ing okay after all.
Now let’s run a pennant up that damn flagpole, doges.
My ESPNews says “Red Sox and Cubs clinch div. titles.”
Which one do I play for again?
Can I start on Sunday?
I sit in SEC 204, but #27 ain’t me. However…waking up stinking like booze…if the shoe fits.
Cubs bullpen will lead us to glory.
Watching all the gay dudes in wrigleyville give each other piggy back rides and shit was kind of hot…
I know you all would have rather seen me wearing the wet t-shirt tonight.
We don’t get a lot of great moments from this franchise. I’m gonna savor this one.
Until the playoffs start.
You know, if you assholes had told me you were going to hire Lou Piniella, I wouldn’t have traded myself for Cesar Izturis.
But hey, I helped out the best I could tonight.
I miss you guys.
Well, not Chuck.
…the grass is turning brown. Time for a little postseason baseball at Wrigley.
I’m going to have 300 pound brass fucking balls in the postseason. Suck it Arizona.
I hope no one thinks that it would be cool to have a parade with Bartman and a goat riding in the back of an open convertible
I am ready to start tomorrow. Yay, we did it guys!
Guys?
I can pretty much assume we’ll be sitting on our hands when live balls are in play. Right?
Congrats from an old friend! Wish I was there (and I know you do, too)

Plan on it buddy. Then plan on getting traded with Donald Veal to wherever this Marlins franchise ends up in 2010 for Alfredo Amezaga. Should be a pretty good deal for both sides…especially for the Cubs since it will create a year buffer for Felix Pie to hone his skills in the minors so he can become the future star CF’er starting in 2011.
Shit…I gotta go….Olsen wants to play dugout bumfights for some crystal meth and a 2 spicy chicken crunchwrap supremes.
Just enjoy it the next few days, seriously. No matter what happens in the playoffs, I think we can all be really happy to make it here.
I wonder who will be playing in today’s game….
I’m gonna go yard from the #3 hole, #44.
of me will be hungover when i read this
bark twice if you are in milwaukee
Looks like I was out drinking some of that champaigne, leaving Phil to wrestle with his understanding of the “facts.”
“Thinking St. Louis’ Brad Thompson had drilled Prince Fielder with a purpose pitch, the Brewers went looking for retribution in the eighth inning of a game that was tied 3-3, and a beanball that put Albert Pujols on base opened the door to a four-run inning.”
You know, because the Cardinals already HAD THE LEAD when Pujols got plunked. The floodgates opened, but the game wasn’t tied.

Oh well.
#46…I ain’t hungover but I don’t feel too good neither. Being at work doesn’t help, but fuck it. Cubs win.
Thabn]]nk you God ! oh yesh and thank you Treavor Hoffman. Loooooooooooou !
Thank you God ! Oh yeah and thank you Treavor Hoffman. Loooooooooooou !
I hope everyone that had to suffer through 1969 is enjoying not just the Cubs success, but the Mets massive collaspe. Couldn’t happen to a more deserving team. Well, except maybe the meth addicts from the south side, or the satanic fowl.
Too bad I couldn’t help you guys celebrate!
I’m glad Russ reposted without the typos. We had no idea what he said the first time.
I like this. A YouTube video of the crowd going batshit crazy after E-ramis gave us all the first real inkling that these Cubs might be up to something good.

did anybody see me in the locker room celebration last night?
Nice goggles…jackass.
Here’s some sound to go with the video in 54.

andy thanks
Where’s the guy mocking my positive? Where are the anonymous crybabies who insisted that the collapse was in full force on Thursday? I can’t hear you!
Go Cubs!
It’s funny, I keep coming back to that Milwaukee game. DeRosa even mentioned that game after last night’s win.
What were the Cubs chasing heading into that game? 8 1/2? And they fell down 5-0, and came back? That coulda been the season right there.
Call it Ramirez’ “Sandberg” game. June 29th, 2007, Ogdens.
That video in 56 is teh balls. It’s pretty incredible to remember how great that win felt, but then hear Pat say “They’re only 6.5 games back.” That’s crazy that 6.5 felt like so little when being one back last week felt like so much.
Go Cubs!
“In Lou-sty we trusty”
I am good times. Go ahead and click on me and relive the most pivotal game of the season seen through the eyes of a bunch of morans.
There was some ledge-jumping early but A) it was not as annoying as this past week and B) it was probably more justified than this past week, seeing as how the Cubs would have been 7 1/2 behind the Brewers had they not stormed back.
Also, there is some classic BC in that GameCast. Seriously. All you ever need to know about BC is in that thead. It’s “BC Distilled”
hey, i had a 38 year old man from mokena going by the name “quetzalcoatl” friend request me today on myspace. i checked here and sure enough there had recently been a mention of and a link to my myspace page.
but no, you’re not creeps or losers or anything. honest! Please tell Oh Great Snake God Quetzalcoatl to get a wife or a hobby or something. You people are freaks.
relevance for 600, alex.
The real Paul would use capital letters.
