Title: iPhone games
Post by: Slaky on March 06, 2011, 10:19:27 AM
What's your favorite? What's good? What sucks?

I'm always trying to find something else I can do to distract myself from my actual life.

I got obsessed with Angry Birds for a while.

Peggle is moderately addictive.

Implode is another angry birds type. I like it a litter better, but we also had it first.

That's an awesome app.  It's protocols are set to take over your digital media and empty your PayPal account.

Little Wing is good.  Hungry shark is solid.  Real Racing, World Series of Poker and Train Conductor free versions are all fun as well.

NHL 2K11 is a little tough on the small screen.

All-Star baseball isn't real players or teams (Mouses?), but the pitching/hitting is pretty good.

Good enough for when you're on the thunder mug, anyway.

Is it just called All-Star Baseball? There's an interesting game called Baseball Superstars 2011 that's out. There's a free demo.

All-Star baseball by Lunasoft. Not bad for 99 cents.

If it's also on the iPhone (I have the Android version), WordFeud is just Scrabble, but it's fun, and you can play with friends.

IrishYeti is mine. I have like 10 games going, including one with IAN: he's a pretty good player, too. I know that shocks some all.

Not after you dropped that 163, braggart.

My friend actually contacted the people at Words to see what the highest word they've seen was. It was near 1000 points.

Am I reading it correctly that you dropped a 163 point word on Bort? Because I'm not seeing how that is possible since 163 and 113 (I think the bonus for using all 7 letters is 50 points) aren't divisible by 3... And if you did it without a triple word score I'm scared of playing you

Not on me. It might have been 153. All I know is that he wasn't above bragging on The Twitter about it.

Just checked it out. Nice. Someone dropped 108 on me with quay. I think that's the highest number I've personally seen in a game. I dropped Jape on Fork for that amount a few minutes ago. 153 is studly. I'm not surprised though

Jape was all that has saved our game from being the PANKfest it deserves to be.

I picked up Infinity Blade. Holy jesus. It's basically a swipe and tap fighting game where you try and slay giant monsters but it's pretty damn fun and the graphics are sick for a phone game.
