Chik-Fil-A is fantastic fast food.

Validated!

This, with a side of waffle fries.

I retract my previous validation.

This is what happens when we agree with Pen. Never agree with Pen.

I've got a bridge that you may be interested in buying.

Red Bull. I suddenly want a Red Bull. No idea why. Would you also like a Red Bull? Red Bull.

I had Chick-Fil-A last night.  It was the very definition of "meh": not awful, not great.  The nuggets were decent, but the sandwich was no better or worse than any other chicken sandwich I've ever eaten.  I'd say anybody who really likes Chick-Fil-A probably needs to get out more.

God bless you, sir.  These are my feelings exactly, and I do not understand the insane devotion people have to this particular brand of fast food*.

*I will admit the waffle fries are good and a nice change from what you get everywhere else.

Wendy's spicy chicken is better, and you can get it on Sundays.

Although if you're at Wendy's, getting a plain baked potato and dumping chili on it is a damn outstanding cheapskate lunch.

Chik-Fil-A is fantastic fast food.

I stand with PenFoe. You can pry my chicken nuggets with large waffle fries out of my dead, buffalo sauce-stained fingers.

One day into spring training and Mike Matheny is already prepared to fight a laptop to defend the Cardinal Way.

Things are looking up. They won't even have to pretend to hide their racism anymore.

MLK is another one of those up-and-comers who's getting recognized more and more. Call me crazy but I think he and Frederick Douglass will be trading headlines for years to come.

Brian Flynn fell through the roof of his barn in days before camp, Ned Yost said. Suffered broken rib and some other injuries. Out 8 weeks.

Happy spring training, Stew.

Travis Wood.

He gets a two-year, $12MM guarantee from the Royals, who know the only way to replace Yordano Ventura is by signing all the mediocre-to-decent-in-relief former Cubs.  Surprised KC didn't win a bidding war with Arizona for Cubs legend Brian Matusz.

CONFIRMED: He wanted off the World Series champion due to acute butthurt.

As Rogers notes, Mills was only designated for assignment when the Royals signed Jason Hammel, whose option the Cubs declined earlier in the offseason. The team’s pursuit of starting depth now raises the question of whether the team would have been better off had it simply exercised the option. But Rogers says a key reason the two sides parted ways was that Hammel had a conflicted relationship with manager Joe Maddon, who Hammel felt didn’t have appropriate faith in him and who frustrated him by pulling him out of games before he would have liked to depart. Though the option on Hammel’s contract was a team option, the Cubs allowed him to decide whether he wanted to leave, and Hammel made the call. Rogers’ sources tell him that was due primarily to his relationship with Maddon.

Although the lesson has been learned by me to not @ pro athletes, no matter how much you loathe them (because it's really stupid, guilty as charged etc.). But I feel at least somewhat validated now for having shown my ass for Hammel to PWN.  Somewhat.

Apparently Joe is supposed to leave him in when he gives up runs, so he can give up some more runs. That Joe Maddon, always trying to win. What a dick.

I like to think the meeting ended with Hammel shouting "FINE, then I'll just go somewhere that they WILL let me continue to pitch past the point of effectiveness!" then stomping out of the room and slamming the door.

Literally everyone watching can tell within like, four pitches whether Hammel has a working slider that day and if he's going to get roasted, but sure, Jason, blame Joe.

I can't remember thinking "Oh no, what is Joe doing" a single time he's come out of the dugout to get him.

Natalie Gulbis: Actually, Trump is great because I personally haven't heard anything bad LA LA LA CAN'T HEAR YOU! MAGA MAGA MAGA!

Quote
I'm not delusional. I know that support for President Trump is far from universal. That never happens in politics. While there have been some negative comments on social media, no one has said anything critical to my face. And while Donald's aggressive stand on immigration has been controversial, the LPGA is a very international tour, and LPGA officials say there have been no visa issues so far.

I am very encouraged by the immense support the golf community has shown me and our 45th president these past few months. I believe deeply in America, in President Trump and in the ability of both to overcome any divide.

Well shit. If the LPGA hasn't had any problems, I guess we can just keep all the Muslims out permanently, no big.

Ned Yost must have promised him six innings no matter what. Unless he literally dies on the mound, then there's a very slight chance he might get taken out before then.

“When I gave birth, I was kind of out of it with the drugs,’’ Milany Russell told USA Today. “So when I came out of it, there was already the name on the birth certificate: ‘Geoffreye O’Neal Addison Robert Watts Jr III.'”

Apparently, the name stuck. At age 13, Russell’s mother gave him a one-time option to change his name when he was adopted by Wayne, his stepfather and the man he considers his father, USA Today reported. He chose Addison Wayne Russell.

Geoffreye?  GEOFFREYE?

*HEAD ASPLODE*

That article does a super job of pretending both those 1-year old kids are from his wife.

Why do you hate Addison Russell so much, maaan? Too old and established?
