Merry Christmas to the lot o' ya!  I miss you all.

So, I just got this game on PC.  The second quest I got was to find "Slaky1980" and challenge him to a race.  After the race I unlocked him as a Drivatar (whatever the F that is), which features a nice screenshot of a fully bearded Slaky.  Also on the road I saw Bad Kermit driving around.

I'm pretty sure those two drivers are the Desipiots I remember.  How they ended up in my game, I have no idea.  Cheers all the same!

I was working off of the 'anytime before the draft' deadline but didn't see Yahoo had an internal deadline.  If these keepers still fly, I'll post 'em here.  If they don't fly, nobody's fault but mine, just get ready for Team Rebuild 2: The Revenge!

I also jumped in on the Christmas sale and started a historical playthrough starting in 1901 as the Philadelphia Athletics.  Just finished 1910, franchise record is 917-703 (2nd in the ML only to Pissburgh) but we're coming off an 83-79 campaign.  Letting 42-year old Cy Young go to free agency was a mistake (yes, FA didn't exist in that era, but I enabled the sonbitch anyway!). 

Nap Lajoie has been my beast mode monster, Eddie Plank has been one of those 'elite every other year, average every other year' types.  I made a ridiculous trade for Smoky Joe Wood who won the ROY and followed with a sophomore Cy Young Award (yes, an award named after an active player, and yes, Cy won the award himself in 1901 and 1905). 

Not sure how to tackle 1911.  Cut payroll and load up on draft picks?  Throw caution off a balcony and sign a couple gap power bats or eye/speed types to get on base for Nap?  Only time will tell.

It's great squad-based tactics.  There's a bug here, a glitch there, but there's been some patches since I've played.  I haven't bought Enemy Within yet, but I sure as hell want to.  Just waitin' on Tony from Amazon to drop the sales floodgates to grab it, even though it was just in a package deal.

If you like the gameplay, I'd take a shot and recommend Shadowrun Returns.  Great narrative-based game with X-COM like gameplay in battle.  The Dragonfall expansion just released, grabbed it, and I plan on broadcasting it starting Monday.

I watched last night for the first time in years.  What the F happened to this show?  What?

I like the new dashboard, but my ISP (Qwest) does not support ESPN3.  Ughasaurus FUX

I hear the audio codec for chat is the most improved, but I haven't heard it yet.  Anyone tried voice chat post-update?
