"Turd Throw" and other stories from the rancid NLC.
« on: May 30, 2007, 02:30:45 PM »
I'll tell you something I'm not tired of: Derrick Turd Throw and the train wreck that the Brewers have become. It's true the Cubs couldn't take advantage of the shit that's passed for first-place baseball in the NL Central this month but we can still have some fun with the strokes the Cubs can't seem to catch.

So this is the new thread for all things shitty and Cub-like about our enemies.

To Wit:

In today's game vs. Atlanta, the Brewers went ahead 2-1 in the bottom of the seventh on a Tim Hudson wild pitch. Enter Turd Throw for the eighth and **Cub-blewie!!**...

- D. Turnbow relieved D. Bush
- M. Diaz hit for T. Hudson
- M. Diaz grounded out to shortstop. 1 Out.
- K. Johnson walked
- W. Harris walked, K. Johnson to second
- E. Renteria singled to shallow left, K. Johnson to third, W. Harris to second
- B. Shouse relieved D. Turnbow
- B. McCann doubled to deep left center, W. Harris, K. Johnson and E. Renteria scored
- C. Spurling relieved B. Shouse
- A. Jones doubled to deep center, B. McCann scored
- J. Francoeur singled to deep left, A. Jones scored

- S. Thorman flied out to deep center. 2 Outs.
- P. Orr singled to center, J. Francoeur to second
- M. Diaz singled to right center, J. Francoeur scored, P. Orr to third
- K. Johnson singled to left, P. Orr scored, M. Diaz to second
- W. Harris struck out looking
- End of Inning (7 Runs, 7 Hits, 0 Errors)

Atlanta 8, Milwaukee 2.

Ouch, babe. Let's see if the Cubs can top that! Or better yet, let's see if they can't for once.

I take full credit for that since I turned the game on just as Diaz was getting thrown out at first.

White trashy.

He was throwing hard, of course, but it was crazy wild.  Like his hair.  He seemed pretty unaffected by the whole thing, though.  Just his usualy mouth-breathin', lookin'-for-a-fix self.

One of my friends here is a huge Brewers fan and I can't even enjoy their suckiness because ours is so much greater.

The "Good Guys" were tied with the Twins 6-6 going into the bottom of the ninth having been ahead at one point 6-1

Bottom 9th: Minnesota

- A.J. Pierzynski catching
- M. MacDougal relieved M. Thornton
- J. Bartlett struck out swinging
- J. Tyner walked
- N. Punto reached on fielder's choice, J. Tyner to second on first baseman P. Konerko's throwing error
- M. Cuddyer singled to shortstop, J. Tyner to third, N. Punto to second
- B. Logan relieved M. MacDougal
- J. Morneau fouled out to catcher
- D. Aardsma relieved B. Logan
- T. Hunter walked, J. Tyner scored, N. Punto to third, M. Cuddyer to second

Good Guys 6     Bad Guys 7

And that's a sweep

Edit: I know it's not the NL Central, but still

Well, there are some Brewers fans here too. And their suckiness is all I have left in the world. Except for the Reds' suckiness. Oh, yes. There is that.

At least the Reds have The VORP's greatness to bask in.

Not to mention the Aardsma walk was on four pitches. I still love that guy. Probably even more now.

The Reds suck but every time the Cubs play them, it feels like I'm watching a team try to play baseball in quicksand.  I fucking hate the Reds.

And the Sox clusterfuck does take some sting out of the Cubs’ clusterfuck--especially because in the AL Central, these blown games REALLY hurt.
