OK A-holes.  It's fixed.  Enjoy the orange links, because I have no fucking idea how to change them.  I basically learned scripting in four days to fix this damned thing. - Andy

Check out Kaplan doing his best Dolan impersonation here:

http://www.chicagonow.com/blogs/david-kaplan-chicago-sports/

Is this what it's like to be berated by Dave Kaplan? Seems akin to getting slapped in the face with a sheet of looseleaf paper.

Not to miss the forest for the trees, but they really need a better editor over there.
Maybe one who keeps a stack of commas with him that he can dole out as needed.

I like how he's not impressed that the Cubs are playing the Arizona Diamondback (sic) and the Philadelphia Phillies (?).

Unreadable.

It makes a nice bookend with his usual unlistenable.

Solid Dave needs a solid thesaurus to aid in his solid writing about solid teams.

If I were getting FYC'd more often, maybe this team would be, you know, good.

Fuck you for thinking Soriano and his .908 OPS is somehow not helping this team be good. And even though fielding stats aren't perfect, fagstats say he's been about average, just a little above it in the field. He's good this year. The team is inconsistent and shitty. Not his fault.

No, see - he's been consistent and good. So he doesn't fit in at all.

QuoteConfirmation bias (or myside bias) is a tendency for people to favor information that confirms their preconceptions or hypotheses, independently of whether they are true.[1][2]  This results in people selectively collecting new evidence, interpreting evidence in a biased way, or selectively recalling information from memory.

I think he's more of the appendix of Desipio.  Yeah, it's here and you're vaguely aware of it, but only if reminded.  The only time anyone notices it is when it ruptures (on Weebs in the video game thread).  Beyond that, though, it's basically useless and offers no redeeming value.

Couldn't enlarge that period, could you?
This is so bad, I'd root for the Orioles over this fucking team, but I can't. Because they're a fucking drug and you can't kick it and they'll never win anything and they'll always suck, but it'll always be sunny at Wrigley and there will be tits and ivy and an old scoreboard and fucking Chads.
