The high of the World Series victory was squashed pretty quickly for me. Last week was terrible. I don't see how things will get any better any time soon.

.... I kind of enjoy For The Love of The Game. I will say a good chunk of it is due to Scully narration, but still.

That movie is fucking terrible.

Something something Tonk loves Kevin Costner.

Well, it does need more Dane Cook, but Kevin Costner is very watchable.  I positive this film.

if only the soundtrack were by Bon...nope...never mind.  Enough is enough.

You're right.  Bon Iver would certainly bring that movie the soundtrack it deserves.

I just watched some "live" video of Daddy Cool and now am wondering how they didn't run out of cocaine in the 70s.

...I'm glad I was able to stop being such a damn cynic for long enough to enjoy the hell out of LeBron James wearing that Cubs uniform.  He was a good sport about it, lived up to the bet and went all-out, actually looked like a baseball player, and gave all credit to the Cubs who, in his words, "showed what true champions are all about."  The Decision was a long time ago.  Damn it, LeBron James is classy and cool as hell.  You got me, Maverick Carter.  You got me.

Back in 1949 my family moved from Chicago to California.  I regretted it then.  When I saw the weather on TV today I realized once again that my parents made the right decision.  The only things that I miss about Chicago are the Cubs and the Art Institute.  (And the months of May and June.)
If I had known that I was going to live this long I would have taken better care of myself.   (Plagerized from numerous other folks)

I'd rather suffer through each winter if it meant I didn't have to be around native Californians every day. I should really stop working for companies headquartered there.
