Ah, the truth behind the Hummel injury comes out:

Man angry after being tossed out Ross-Ade for being 'too large'

To the faculty, staff and student body of Purdue University,
I would like to thank you all for the shabby treatment that I was subjected to at the homecoming football game on Saturday. Apparently I, at 6-foot-2-inches and 465 lbs, am of too large of carriage to be allowed to sit in your football stadium. I payed face value for a ticket in the "horseshoe" of Ross-Ade stadium and was told that I had to leave my seat as I was taking up too much space after the first quarter and spent the rest of the game listening to it from a bench outside the access to section 115 on the concourse. I have now attended football games in EVERY Big Ten Conference stadium, and must say this is the worst treatment I have EVER been subjected to.  So I guess I would like to thank all involved, especially the worthless employees of Andy Frain Services for truly making me hate Purdue University, and Purdue football.  Now the upshot, for those of you who believe in the eastern belief of Kharma, I feel it was served by Robbie Hummel's injury, so in closing I say enjoy the whooping that OSU is going to apply Saturday, and enjoy watching the University of Illinois win the Big 10 men's basketball title. I thought Purdue was an institute of intellect, understanding and compassion – now I know it's just slack-jawed, inbred hicks who do not adhere to the Americans with disabilities act of 1996.

Fan does not deserve "special treatment"

Dear Matt Lignell,
You are fat, not disabled – there is a difference. We should not have to give you special treatment because you can't take care of yourself. Also referring to everyone at Purdue as "slack-jawed, inbred hicks" is kind of funny because you don't seem to be able to maintain a healthy lifestyle yourself. And don't you ever speak ill of Robbie Hummel again, he is 50 times the man you will ever be (achievement wise, not size). That is all.

Based on the usual Ross-Ade crowd, there should be plenty of room for tubby and all of his morbidly obese pals.

Every time this thread gets bumped I hold my breath and brace for some calamitous injury report. Good on the Illini for not being E'Twaan Moore's ankle or something broken.

EDIT: Illinois' white guys didn't do too well in the second half, dropping that stanza 47-37 which doesn't mean shit about shit.

Then they went on to beat Toledo by 600. They have to play real teams soon, unfortunately.

Looking forward to Texas (and possibly Pitt) in the Coaches vs. Asscancer Classic.

Mike Tisdale's still too skinny.

Both of those will be good tests for the Illini. Purdue won't play a good team until sometime in mid-January, I think.

IU's 2-0 and with Zeller joining the squad next year, could be very, very nice.

Even though it was just Southern Illinois, the Chief looked real legit Saturday night.  Crandle is their 10th man.  That's deep.
