I wonder how well Soriano played in that Series?

He dropped a fly ball off the bat of Rizzo in the bottom of the 8th to allow Castro to score from 1st for the winning run in game 7.

Robin Ventura forgot to defensive switch him out.

I won't bury this in the video game threads.

This needs to be seen by all. Pretend it's not fake. Holy shit.

Hey doesn't anybody around here still talk about SPORTS?

QuoteAn international scouting director predicted to MLB Network's Peter Gammons that the Cubs will sign Cuban outfielder Jorge Soler to a contract worth $27 million.
Just a sloppy, undisciplined team.  Garbage.

Fuck Solar, eh?  Finally, I think we may have found a form of rap music that even Morts can get behind.
This is so bad, I'd root for the Orioles over this fucking team, but I can't. Because they're a fucking drug and you can't kick it and they'll never win anything and they'll always suck, but it'll always be sunny at Wrigley and there will be tits and ivy and an old scoreboard and fucking Chads.

Hey, if solar could produce energy on the scale and scope necessary to power a modern economy I'd be all for it.  Same for biodiesel, wind, geothermal, and bottled HUEYANGER.

A cocktail of HUEYANGER, Apexbutthurt, and Pat Robertson leg press juice could provide enough energy to power not just Earth but multiple Newt colonies in outer space.

Speaking of great ideas...Snork Rotation Wood Minors?

QuoteIt's been hinted at for weeks, and, if you've been paying attention to Spring Training, you won't be terribly surprised to learn that Jeff Samardzija is now a near lock to win a spot in the Chicago Cubs' otherwise very crowded rotation.

QuoteIf Samardzija nails down that number four spot in the rotation – behind Garza, Dempster, and Maholm – the Cubs will be left choosing from Chris Volstad, Randy Wells, and Travis Wood (and, technically, Rodrigo Lopez and Casey Coleman) for the final spot. Wood has pitched poorly this Spring, and, since he's freely optionable to AAA Iowa, he'll probably start the year there.

I managed to discover that Anthony Rizzo is still listed as a Padre in my copy of the 2012 Prospectus and wouldn't you know it - they say he's fit to be an Adam LaRoche clone.

So just keep that in mind if you've got an delusions about Rizzo being the next Adrian Gonzalez.

How does Randy Wells not nab that 5th spot? What has he turned into that he's not a lock to secure a place in THIS "otherwise crowded" rotation? I've never liked the son of a bitch.

FACT: I saw Rizzo hit one out to left-center on Friday, must have been 400 feet.
INSIDE SCOOP: He's gonna be totally awesome.
