When I was first going through everyone's lists, the three Gary Carter picks were probably the picks that most tempted me to cheat.

Butthead now has sole possession of the Dead Pool lead at lucky 13.

Then why start a Dead Pool thread?

So I think we've reached the point where MLB teams have hired every last one of the big/innovative brains that the old BP produced, and now we're left with a bunch of navel-gazing 25 year old chuckleheads.

If you would like to remember Gary Carter the way we should remember him, let's look at this entry from Hire Jim Essian.

Gary was No. 68 on Kermit's list, and we learned a bit about him Nov. 8, 2007. So much has happened since then, and Kermit has even gotten to No. 7 on his list.

I hope he can complete the list before Jim Essian's demise.

Etta James and Carter were gimmies. Even though I'm in the lead I probably suck at this because I never even considered Whitney Houston.

Indeed. Yet only three people picked the latter.

I may have literally slapped my forehead.

And nobody had Whitney, which was rather disappointing, reminiscent of the first 10 months of last year's DP.
