I want to make fun of the Lakers for losing one game (LOLZOMG) but that's the kind of basketball retardation that led me to the realm of Heatdongchuggary in the first place. So I'll resist the urge. But it would appear that the Lakers have a lot of work to do before they can be called championship-ready. And they're an older core group than the one Miami put together two years ago. Teams like that need more rest and you've got Kobe already banged up and Dwight coming off of back surgery.

With guys inevitably due for long layoffs and scheduled rest I think it may take them longer to mesh than a lot of prognosticators realized. If Mike Brown knows what he's doing - and I'm not at all convinced he does - he'll take these health concerns into account as Popovich does, and slowly tune this team up in preparation for a playoff run. Let OKC get the top seed, let the recharged Clippers surge to the division lead. Don't pay one single second of attention to the massive, unrelenting, soul-destroying death machine down in South Beach.  Just get ready for April and tune everything else out.

Can they do that? In L.A.? With Dwight Fucking Howard around?

I... don't think so.

The Bulls have proved that if you can't shoot free throws, you can't win championships.

So did Shaq... oh, wait...

Hah.

BH frolled you, bro.
Just a sloppy, undisciplined team.  Garbage.

I knew what he was up to. Thread title be damned, BH loves him some FroDog. Loves. I'm close, personal friends with the Fromeister myself and I bet it makes BH jealous.

Is this the thread where we get to overreact to one game and talk about JAMES HARDEN MVP OMG SO STUPID PRESTI WTF?!?!

At the very least, we could have JD make a comeback and tell us again why he doesn't like Harden because of how slow he plays.

Well the Lakers lost all eight preseason games and their first two regular season games making them a perfect OMGZ-for-10. And Steve Nash banged up his knee last night trying to be good at defense. So there's that.

My good friend KELLY DWYER Tweeted that the Lakers need a lot of time and great coaching, "deduce what you will from that."

It's possible Mike Brown gets fired midstream. If so, I'd like to see him get a TV gig. Because I think he's a really interesting person who is in way over his head now.

That was Twitter last night. He tore up the Pistons so naturally the Rockets won the trade. *smashes desk with gavel*

I love Desipio because it is the best (sports talk!), but also because it is the worst (Frodog excerpts, PEOPLE POSTING OFF TOPIC!)

You guys see this?  TJ Simers is a humorless man.  Uncomfortable to watch.  MAKE THE SHOT!
You two wanna go stick your wangs in a hornet's nest, it's a free country.  But how come I always gotta get sloppy seconds, huh?
