Honestly, I'm not a fan of Chicago-style pizza.  I did Lou Malnati's, years ago, and was thoroughly underwhelmed.  Besides, I'm going to make the traditional Candlelite stop on the way back on the airport.

That was your mistake. Malnati's is the most overrated and inconsistent deep dish in the city.

Burt's is not deep dish.  Nor is Pequods.

Erm... Chuck?  It was you who recommended Lou Malnati's to me.

Anyway, as unbelievable as it might be to you all, I simply don't like deep-dish (or pie) pizza.  I like thin-crust pizza - proper Italian wood oven pizza if at all possible.  Sorry.
Your toilet's broken, Dave, but I fixed it.

Let's not get into a game of splitting hairs over deep dish vs. pan vs. stuffed.

Yeah, there are meaningful differences. But they're all in the same ballpark.

Check your records. I avoid Malnati's like the plague. Have since high school since I worked next door to the original.

I might understand this better if an analogy was used.  Perhaps comparing the various pizza styles to animation styles used by Chuck Jones, Ralph Bakishi and Walter Lantz.

Also, something about shortening.

Gino's is Toy Story, except for the Lincoln location, which is Toy Story 3; Uno's is Wall-E; Bacino's is Ratatouille; Giordano's is anything made by DreamWorks; Malnati's is Nemo, unless it's not.

I'm a fan of Lou's but my favorite is My Pie. I'm sure I'm the only one but I don't care. It's the Giordano's type of thick I can't stand. Sits in my stomach like a brick. Tonk wouldn't be the first person that's come over here from SocialistWorld and not wanted to try our pizza. I am not offended.

I'm down for any shoutlunch so someone fire me a text when you guys figure out where it is as long as it's in the city.

I enjoy My Pie. Their cheeseburger pizza isn't bad.
