I have no idea what he's done the last 15 years (probably plenty, but I haven't seen it,) but this makes me sad.

Just watched that over the weekend and I agree.

Completely off-topic, but Jerry's bad driving in that series kills me. I'm not sure if it's an intentional running gag, but his deviations over painted lane lines and bad parking skills are entertaining Easter eggs. Topical reference!
