Tune In: The Beatles After All These Years
« on: October 25, 2018, 10:14:05 AM »
Part 1 of a trilogy by Mark Lewisohn.

I thought everything about the Beatles had been covered in excruciating detail, but this is a seriously deep dive - I'm still working on this book, but it only takes you until before they hit big. I will say it's probably too granular for the casual Beatles fan, but for someone who nerds out (I also own Lewisohn's "The Beatles Recording Sessions") on every detail about them, it's a seriously great read.

Geez, Dad.

Cool.
I'll never, ever read this.

Still holding out for that 5-volume set that focuses entirely on Colin Hay's guest appearance on Scrubs?

Hey!  I genuinely enjoyed Colin Hay's guest appearance on "Scrubs".  That acoustic version of "Overkill" is better than the original, and I really like the original.

I finally finshed this weighty tome, which I began in early October*...Volume 1, 805 pages, takes you through 12/31/62.

*I'm generally reading 2 or 3 books at once.
