The guys recap the Bears stunning yet inevitable (there has to be a German word for that) last second loss to the Lions and blame it all on the shifty Lions’ timekeeper. They compare when in the game they realized the Bears were going to lose, they ponder what the mood in George’s Camry was on the long ride from Detroit to Sycamore and, as one does, they Google whether or not Martha Firestone Ford is still alive. (No spoilers.) They also talk about the Bears upcoming visit to US Bank Stadium to face the Vikings, and Crane Kenney for some reason, and Andy makes fun of a certain Cubs’ blog for their relucantce to “get their hopes up” because they can’t handle the disappointment. Man, they picked the wrong team to root for.

Bums In The Bleachers podcast

Vulture has a great look back at the 1983 classic film The Right Stuff. It’s just a great, perfect film, even if the screenwriter, Philip Kaufman does describe it as the longest movie ever made without a plot.

Mike Pusateri and I did our first ever Movie Deep Dive on The Right Stuff and you should listen to it if you never have, or listen again if you have.

Why look, here it is. How handy! Give a listen you pudknockers.

Are we still doing these QB breakdowns? Well, here’s another one, I guess.

Fargo returned for season five on Tuesday. Brian Grubb takes a look for us.

Elizabeth Zharoff breaks down David Lee Roth’s vocals (she thinks his name is David Leroth, which is adorable) on Hot for Teacher, and we learn that she had a boyfriend who would try to seduce her with this song when she got home from teaching vocal lessons.
