Title: The ERAs not all that was high in the Cubs' bullpen
Post by: Brownie on October 30, 2010, 04:58:00 PM
I suppose after this season, who wouldn't need 8 pounds of pot to forget? (http://www.suntimes.com/sports/baseball/cubs/2848554,CST-SPT-cub30.article)

Now, wait a second:

Quote from: Lincoln Journal StarAccording to Nebraska State Patrol spokeswoman Deb Collins, Miller was stopped for speeding 71 in a 65 mph zone while traveling eastbound on Interstate 80 near mile marker 399.

Quote from: Hal SpivackMiller was reportedly heading from Chicago to their home in California when he was stopped by police.

Quote from: ProRumorsWhite then found 8.4 pounds of pot in plastic bags wrapped in dryer sheets inside of a suitcase containing men's clothing. The amount of marijuana could be worth anywhere between $2,520-$3,000 (depending on area of country) on the streets.

I think my opinions on dryer sheets are well known. I would not purchase a $22 ounce that had the taint of dryer sheets, even if the bag came with a rusty nail for novelty value. But I would like to know what direction it was being shipped in.

Traveling east in Nebraska to get from Chicago to California is theoretically possible, but highly impractical.  I think that I want to  take back my vote in favor of Prop 19.

Could their home be on California, and they just were a little too high so they missed the exit off the Eisenhower, kept going straight and wound up in Nebraska?

A not-dissimilar turn of events once left me overlooking Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, at the Dollywood power substation.

I've been there.
