How can the league possibly top itself in soullessness and sordidness after a banner year like the one it just had?  Don't worry, The Rog is on it.

I left the TV on and Backstrom started and I said, what the hell, maybe I'm wrong about this because I've only seen the promos.  Holy shit does this show suck.  It's so flat it actually insists that you not care about it.  Rainn Wilson is supposed to be this super-confident, super-cool rebel but it just doesn't work.  It's really uncomfortable watching what's left of his career dribble down his leg as he realizes not every character can be played as Dwight Schrute.  This show is "House M.D. Except With Cops Now", without Hugh Laurie and without the writing staff to boot.  I hated every minute.  How the hell did this garbage get made?  Oh yeah, it's Fox.

In conclusion, water is wet.

I enjoyed hanging out with Chris Rock for a couple hours, which is what this is: a hangout film with Rock and his comedian buddies.  It's funny, the romance plot is a little formulaic but not intolerable, it's a little gross at parts (there's one particular gag that required Rock to curl up in a fetal position in a safe place on a bed that might offend your mother), and somehow Rosario Dawson looks even more beautiful than usual.  It won't change your life but there are plenty worse ways to spend the time.

A fine waste of a couple hours. Cartoonish in its plot and dialogue at times, but Aaron Paul is more than solid and the absurdity is enjoyable if you don't think too much about it.
