OK A-holes.  It's fixed.  Enjoy the orange links, because I have no fucking idea how to change them.  I basically learned scripting in four days to fix this damned thing. - Andy

The people responsible for ruining my 2008 (who have left 8 voicemails on my phone this week -- I have not spoken to them since last July) told me Too Human was Best Game Ever territory.  So, it pleases me greatly to hear that its a piece of shit.  I would have assumed as much, but seeing confirmation of its shittiness makes me happy in that vindictive sorta way.

If 2K is getting their shit together and improving their products, then, what I want to know is, why the eff did they scrap their College Hoops franchise?  It was kind of a dull game, but it reproduced the college game pretty well.  It was the anti-"drive'n'dunk" game.

I'm terrible at basketball strategy, so I hated it.  I like strategy, so I liked it.  The franchise is dead now, so t'hell with it!

Baseball-related, Baseball Mogul 2010 is now available through torrents and file-sharing.  I have a link if anyone wants to download it.  I've only had a spare moment to tinker with it, went 83-79 with the 2009 Rockies.  Seems fungmang.

Rainbox Six: Vegas AND GRAW for $30 at Best Buy.

Yea, I saw that while I was in there yesterday... I thought about posting something, but I got lazy and started eating

One of my personal goals is to work with Yeti on this, but its hard for me to get motivated, because posts like these are awesomely funny.  It almost makes me want to break my decade-long boycott on Doritos.  ALMOST.

I'm going to go eat now.

Re: Newegg, I'm out of the loop, but I do hear they have the market cornered on offering great deals.  Never tried 'em before, but heard plenty of positive feedback.

I feel I should contribute (I miss my days in the SB).

"The good news, he was spared the worst pain cancer has to offer.  The bad news, he felt the Cubs were at a turning point, at the precipice of bringing home the Big One."

"deepest Arkansas" ?  I think we have a user here who would contest that shiznoize.  I'm talking the deepest of the deep.

(PS -- I was requested to personally thank the lot of you fine folks.  Your messages were relayed and heard.)

You may be thankful that twenty years from now when you are sitting by the fireplace with your grandson on your knee and he asks you what you did in the great 2009 Championship Season, you WON'T have to cough, shift him to the other knee and say, 'Well, your Granddaddy was an Astros fan.'"

No, Sir! You can look him straight in the eye and say, 'Son, your Granddaddy rode with the Great Chicago Cubs and a Son-of-a-Goddamned-Bitch named Dave Patton!'

Repeating what I said in the Shoutbox -- TEC is awesome.

I just spent the last x-number of days watching my sister dropkick a brain tumor for the 4th time.  This time, it ain't comin' back.  I will see to that.

We were home from the hospital in time to watch the Cubs' first game of the season.  I'da liked to been here for Opening Day 2009, but considering what has gone on over the last decade, there was no finer place to have taken in that particular ball game.  Go Cubs.

That same "Go Cubs" sentiment, I pass along to all of you who fight the good fight.  May there come a day where all maladies and mishaps are made into myth.  May that day be tomorrow.

Thanks to those who have shared their stories.  You will find that in times of need, a little bit of support goes a long, long way.

Best wishes to all!

Tim Lincecum's younger brother (I made that part up) encountered this on the game.  Starts out innocently enough, but the escalator routine had me reeling:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HN3cGmtm81g

You got my support Gil, my best goes to you and yours.

Has anyone seen this happen?  Because it's hilarious.

Just saw ESPN scroll their "Top 3 Fantasy SPs on the decline" across the bottom.

#3 Fausto Carmona, went from  19-8  3.06, to  8-7  5.44
#2 Aaron Harang, went from  16-6  3.73, to  6-17  4.78
#1 Carlos Zambrano, his win percentage improved over .100 points, and his ERA was 0.04 points lower!  Oh, and he threw a no-hitter

This makes no fucking sense.

"Jacque Jones played his first professional game at first base Thursday.
"It's a fun change for me," Jones said, "a lot of action. You're involved in almost every play." If Dusty Baker falls in love with using the veteran Jones, it would come at the expense of talented young players Chris Dickerson and Joey Votto. Even Baker isn't likely to do that.
Related: Joey Votto, Chris Dickerson"

At least Jock doesn't have to throw very far over at first base.

He'll do a great job throwing infield practice before innings.

Dave B and fiveouts were thinking what I was thinking.  His ability to spike a baseball into his shoelaces should serve him well as a first baseman.

For a Jock throw across the diamond, I would set the over/under at "Pitcher's mound".

I would join in on the old fashioned Oklahoma bandwagon, if I had Kevin Durant on my fantasy team.  As it is, I'll just have to continue rooting for the Heat Hawks Celtics Magic Nuggets Suns.

I have a friend who wants to advertise some available office space in her doctor's practice.  She's taking out some paid ads, but also is looking for good free sites on the Internet that offer lots of exposure and are fairly reputable. Craigslist obviously comes to mind, but has anyone else had experience with or know of other good free classified sites?

I'm not sure about other sites, but I tried Craigslist for the first time here recently.  I was beyond skeptical, but I have to say that I am pleased with the results.  I'm not entirely sure it is a reputable site, but there is lots of exposure.  I'm sure you know this, just throwing out my own experience!

If you find the right place, it sounds like a good idea for your friend.
