OK A-holes.  It's fixed.  Enjoy the orange links, because I have no fucking idea how to change them.  I basically learned scripting in four days to fix this damned thing. - Andy

You think I'm angry now?  Wait until you get me bowling.  I fucking HATE bowling pins.

In short, I'm definitely down with bowling.  Make it happen, 'Pex.

The double cheeseburger for $1 is a steal at any of your local McDonald's.

It's no longer a buck, brohan. It's $1.19.  No, the McDouble, which is a double cheeseburger with one less slice of cheese--is a buck.   Still at $1.19 for two patties and two slices of cheese, that's hard to beat.

I was told to get my drinks on the Gitles tab.  I was very excited to play along on the Fletch/Mr. Underhill joke but as it took me 10 minutes to finally get the bartender's attention, I ended up forgetting and paid my own way.  Oh how humiliating.

Speaking of the Cubs Convention - I don't think there's a bigger collection of window lickers on the fucking planet. What a sad place.

What does that say about a bunch of dudes who hang out at the convention without actually going in?

That they like to drink?

I happy for Andy that he got to nail Angela twice. She's kinda hot for an annoying bitch.

I'm trying to figure out if he really did or if he just made that up.  In earlier episodes it has been suggested that he hasn't.  Once, he talked about working out so he'll look good the first time she sees him naked on their wedding night and another time, when he got in trouble, he was punished by being sent back to first base or something.  Andy's reaction after he made this claim would almost seem to support this as well, as he rested his head oin the steering wheel in resignation.

This might be one of the funniest first five minutes I've seen of this show.

Get out of my brain, Slaky.  I was thinking the very same thing myself.  I thought maybe it was just because I missed the show since it last aired a new episode.

You just knew that Michael was going to break the news to to Andy at the last possible minute, and yet it was still hilarious when he did.

And Dwight essentially admitting that he drilled Angela on Oscar's desk was several varieties of awesome.

I'm usually one of the ones calling for benign neglect

Seeing as how you've mentioned him in about 80% of your puckcasts, I'm, not so sure how seriously we should take your call.

The concept of "spreading democracy" is Bob Babich-retarded.

That said, I have no problem with Chris Hitchens.  I know many Democrats that also supported the war at the beginning.  I'm not about to discredit them for one mistake.  Hitchens also supported Obama prior to the election.

Is it a Harry Caray broadcast? Those didn't suck. I'd watch that.

If you want to hear Harry bitch and moan and grumble a lot--which was usually pretty often and happened a lot more frequently after his stroke in '87--you're sure to want to watch this game.  I'm kind of interested to watch it myself, if only to remind myself how genuinely disgusted Harry could get (it's an attribute I wished Pat Hughes expressed more when the Cubs sucked).  Remember that this was the second game in three days that Dawson had a 9th-inning-or-later, go-ahead grand slam washed out.  It was also the second of a three games in a  four game stretch where the recently departed Dave Smith--one of the 3 big free agent signings that would sink the retarded Frey organization once and for all and continue to set the organization back--would blow a game, basically killing the season before summer.

This game also placed #19 (with the other two aforementioned games at #20 and #18) on HJE's famed "Top 20 Blown Saves for the Cubs" in early '08.

And it's an away game for the Cubs, so you won't even get to see the legendary Dave Cihla with his legendary sign.

Clarified for people who don't spend all day in the ShoutBox'd.

Does this bring Peavy back into play?

Bruce Levine says DeRosa is all but gone for a couple prospects who would then be swung into a Peavy deal. Also, he said the 5 million will go toward Uncle Miltie.

Levine?  Shit that guy is still reporting that the 2004 Cubs are about to sign Pudge Rodriguez.

While I realize he's probably just thinking out loud, it's still worth posting. Especially because we can make Bruce Levine jokes.

Like the fact that he was risking his life reporting on DeRosa possibly being dealt instead of giving his mother a foot rub?

Oh, hey.  Did I get to 1910 already?  Well, that's the year the Cubs made it to the World Series and almost got swept out in glorious fashion by the Philadelphia A's before eking out a 10-inning 4-3 win in Game 4.  They were outscored 35-15 in the five-game series after going 104-50 during the regular season.  I suspect their flop will be repeated when they finally make the Series again in 2010 and lose in five games to the Oakland A's.

Yay?

Damn right yay.

He actually deleted that Fan Post (what a gay name... just call it a thread).  What a complete loser.

I thought they were called "Diaries" which are of course even gayer than "fan posts".
