No clue what this is, but.... THIS

Oh ipecac, scourge of supermodels the world over.

Mrs. Cubbieblue and I were returning from a wonderful vacation in Italy in September of 2008. We used our mileage plus to upgrade to business class and found ourselves in these wonderful seats that converted to a bed.  At the foot of the bed there was a tv screen.  The flight attendant brought us our dinners and champagne, and as soon as that was cleared I relaxed and immediately fell asleep.  I awaken.  It is dark.  On my screen there is someone named Carrie and her three friends.  They are speaking a language that I do not understand, or at least saying things that I can't comprehend.  I get disoriented.  I feel queasy.  I get out of my bed/seat and dash for the john.  I barely make it.  I come out of the john and start down the aisle.  I think that I am going to pass out.  Carrie and her friends are still there.  I still can't figure out what they are talking about.  I begin to sweat.  I am cold and clammy.  I try the controls on my armrest, but I am too confused.  Carrie and her friends go on and on.  They are laughing.   I know they are laughing at me.  I manage to fall asleep.  I wake again.  They are still there.  I think that I am going to die.  Through the window I see a sliver of light on the horizon.  Suddenly I hear a voice.  Is it God?  Yes. It is God.   God tells me to bring my seat to a full upright position and that the video program is ending.  I immediately recover.

I'd also like to express, er, my fondness for this particular post.

Of course the bold there is Al's.  It's not a party.  It's a baseball game.  Most people are there to watch the baseball game.  Stop trying to enjoy it!  This is work!  Watching this shitty baseball team is punishment for something.  We are not to like it, we are to sit there, (for the love of god, DO NOT STAND UP!) and watch it, unblinkingly.  Then Jacob will pick one of us to guard the pretty light, and we'll have to fight off the smoke monster for a couple of thousand years.  Got it?

And it's time Al take his stand on people standing up at baseball games.  That shit has to stop.  You know what else?  Sometimes people slap one hand with the other, repeatedly.  It's annoying.  And, for god sakes, enough already with just yelling "Yay!"  Can't you people just shut up and let us suffer in silence?

Everything about this show is just awesome.  I wonder if they're going to continue spoofing different film genres like they did the past couple of weeks.  If they are, I approve wholeheartedly.

How do you like them apples?

Hmmm.

Well, let me be the contrarian here. The comments on the link above basically say, "What's the big deal?"

Well, it is a big deal. Kids shouldn't drink beer. And the Cubs risk losing their liquor license if they allow
underage drinking, which is why they are constantly throwing people out of the bleachers for doing it.

There are enough alcohol problems in this country without starting a 10-year-old kid on it.

Quote from: CT Cubs Fan 38I don't know if its been done before but I figured why not. I'm trying to get some ideas as I am notoriously picky when it comes to Homer Simpson's beverage of choice.

What are your favorites people?

Quote from: DerwoodI used to be a beer snob, but then realized that most microbrews tasted like nine kinds of ass, so...

My beer of choice (esp on tap) is Yuengling, but that's not available everywhere. I also like JW Dundee's Honey Brown Ale, Killian's Red, Newcastle, Rolling Rock, MGD.....pretty much most common lagers you find on tap at restaurants.

Quote from: Keener98Bud Light Im boring. Also Blue Moon

Quote from: BI haven't really drank since I was in high-school, but back then I always liked Bud Ice.

Quote from: Bob Sanders
Quote from: earth2sean
Quote from: Bob SandersI've always been a huge fan of Budweiser, and I'm drinking Select almost exclusively now. Killian's is another of my favorites, but anymore I have to be in a mood to get it. My wife's uncle has a neighbor from Canada, so I occasionally score some really good Molson. Beats the hell out of the stuff you get in the stores around here.

I taste almost no difference between Molson and Budweiser.

get some from Canada -- you'll feel a difference

Quote from: apete6Domestic: Coors Light for all night drinking, Bud Select is probably the tastiest though

Micro/Less Popular: Blue Moon is awesome as are a lot of its "followers" like Leinie's Sunset Wheat and some other wheat beers. Goose Island 312 is also very awesome. I am also a fan of most of the Sam Adams and Leinenkugel's brews. Sprecher from Milwaukee also rocks.

Trivia Question/Answer: Where was Blue Moon invented? Answer: The brew pub at Coors Field in Denver.

Imports: Pacifico (for some reason like it better than Corona) and Smithwick's (this is my overall favorite)

Also, if you are ever in South Carolina, Palmetto Amber Ale is awesome and if you are in Tampa, FL area, the Dunedin Brewing Company puts out some top notch products.

Quote from: CDBears1259My favorites, no particular order:
Coors Original
Bud Select (current favorite)
Abita Beer (any of them except Turbodog and Purple Haze)
Blue Moon
Killian's Red
Newcastle
Pete's Strawberry Blonde
Bud Light
Michelob Ultra and Honey Lager

Quote from: MPriorSo the answer to your question is that there really is no good answer to your question, as it depends very heavily on taste.

For example, I love Blue Moon, which many people have suggested already. But I really don't like any of the Samuel Adams beers I've tasted, which is another popular choice (or Yuengling for that matter), and I'm shocked that so many people like Budweiser, as it is not only a product of St. Louis, but it is also made of fermented Clydesdale urine.

Some of my favorites:

Blue Moon
Newcastle
Fat Tire
Bass
Grolsch
Honey Brown
Black and Tan
Guinness (sometimes - it's in its own category)
Numerous microbrews (the ones I'm thinking of are generally very small and very local to the Western North Carolina area).

Oh, and Mike's Hard Lemonade Lite.

.....

Just kidding.

That's all from page one.

Like most of you, I like Brenly. I enjoyed his verbal stripdown of Ryan Braun last year. He's a decent color guy and generally fun to listen to, but he does have some MEATHEAD in him that filters out like it did last night.

Bob is like everyone's favorite uncle. His jokes and stories are as cheesy as they are predictable. And, yeah, he sometimes says just plain dumb shit. But it's all good, because he's just your favorite goofball uncle.

You just fetch him another beer and listen to the story about that time he wore blue shoes again. And you sure as hell don't fact check him.

Maybe you're being meta-post-ironic but if you're not I totally agree. I love Borb and can put up with anything dumb he might say. I'm going to get more upset about shitty baseball than the guy who agrees with me that I'm watching shitty baseball.

But if you are being meta-post-ironic, then, yeah. I totally got it.

I agree with whatever everyone is saying here, even if I don't.

I think Tank was being unpostironic in his praise of Borb's awesomeness and he is completely right. Len dips his toes into the pond of statscummery and Bob is the gritty grumpy basebally uncle. A great balance in this pud's opinion. If only the baseball they were commenting on didn't suck so many cheese-crusted, musky-scented foreskins.

I concur.  I enjoyed the "exchange" last week where Len was talking at length about various guys who had their first major league hit before their actual debut was recorded...or some such due to Suspended games...and this went on for a few minutes.   Probably too long.  Borb just occasionally went "Really. Uh-huh" as the game continued.

What Borb really wanted to say was "Cut the statfaggery, pencilneck".

Even his moustache and skin complexion ooze with grit.   He pisses on pregame fraternization, and he doesn't tolerate lollygaggers.

Borb = GRIT

Most of all, he doesn't tolerate bullshit.

Or puka shell necklaces.

Hopefully they show how he turned into the black smoke.

and Adam and Eve will be revealed.  I know that much.

We get it, you read spoilers. Now shut the fuck up about them.

Apparently the spoilers are coming out like mustard colored poop.

I'm scared.

I haven't heard any other spoilers other than who adam and eve are.
And I haven't heard anything at all about the finale.   I've been trying to avoid them, actually.

You still managed to just post a fucking spoiler.
