OK A-holes.  It's fixed.  Enjoy the orange links, because I have no fucking idea how to change them.  I basically learned scripting in four days to fix this damned thing. - Andy

Another Gem, from fellow homo Paul Sullivan:

http://chicagosports.chicagotribune.com/sports/baseball/cubs/cs-070223cubs,1,1760433.story?coll=cs-home-headlines

QuoteCorey Patterson spent a few years in the minor leagues being promoted as the next great Cubs outfielder, only for impatient fans to run him out of town because they wondered when he was going to live up to the buildup.

Hmm. It's our fault Corey sucked balls?

So do we get credit for his solid 04 season?

This website, and this commercial, go hand in hand, in my mind.

After 12 pages of Sydnee Steele goodness, I've decided to go with the Tucher Urfränkisch dunkel. I'am the biggest Nurnberg homer there is.

Can't believe no one has mentioned Schaefer's. Or Dubuque Star. Man, you had to be one poor-ass, thirsty college dude to drink that piss water. So of course, I drank a lot of it. Because I was poor. And thirsty. And shiftless.

Twenty-plus years later, I've conquered one of those three hurdles, bully for me!

Would that be, "The one beer to have when you're having more than one?"

Maybe the best advertising slogan ever. Well, after "I Cuss you Cuss we all Cuss for Asparagus"

How about Stag? A Missouri beer, I believe.

When faced with the decision at the Edward Jones Dome (Club section at the Bears game last week) of a 24-oz. draft of Bud for $9.25 vs. a double Crown Royal for $7.25, the choice was easy. Plus a lot less pissing.

And an improved Dave B Swank O meter reading.

Big Fan of Woodford Reserve, although I'm not as big a bourbon lover as I'm a Scotch lover. My Scotch of choice is Glenlivet, but Lagavulin is excellent.
you might also enjoy Highland Park.

More of a Highwood man, myself.

I enjoy Leinenkugel's and have been enjoying it a lot more since my sister's fiancee is an area rep for Leinies and whenever we get together, he brings beer. That said, he's a Sox fan so maybe it's best to avoid buying Leinie's because we all know that he'll spend his commission on meth anyway.

Seriously, though Leinie's is pretty good, but I also enjoy Goose Island (Honker's, IPA and 312), Fat Tire, Anchor Steam and Sierra Nevada.

For foreign drinking, I do like Smithwick's, Warsteiner and Harp -- in that order. Give me a Stella and I won't complain, either.

For industrial drinking (parking lot at Soldier Field, for example), Coor's Light, Miller Lite, MGD, Budweiser, Bud Lite and Bud Select are what's consumed, in that order.

Now, what's everyone's favorite Scotch? Bourbon?

Blatz.  Point.  Rhinelander.

When you say WIS-CON-SIN, you've said it all.

I got beat up in Wisconsin once.

Those are really good with Foghat.

Lots of swear words could be used here about the (domestic) beer industry.  I'll limit myself to:

You can taste the steel from the distillery in Budweiser.  If you're going to drink domestic, the least you could do for yourself is have a nice warm Natural Ice, or the finest domestic out there, Icehouse.

We should change the thread title to Bad. Beer.

But I'll steer us back, I love me some Newcastle. Yum.

Why, I just enjoyed a fine Newcastle a few nights back myself.  That is what beer is.

My own input into this thread?  The greatest beer known to myself -- Warsteiner premium dunkel.  Go to war with Warsteiner.  Get dunked by the dunkel.

Warsteiner truly is a porn star. I got a buddy over here who refuses to partake in pretty much any activity unless a case of that is involved. Oh and you can't go wrong with a dunkel.

Your favorite.

In the States: St. Pauli Girl: Special Dark

Here in Germany: Lowenbrau: Triumphator (That's 7.8% alcohol, MADD)

Best beer to drink prior to fat chick lovin: Schlitz.

For my money, Rock, Loewenbraeu is only the third best brewery in Munich, behind Paulaner and (best of all) Augustiner.  Ayinger (from just outside Munich) is also excellent.  You ask any beer nut in Muenchen what they drink, though, and they'll all say Augustiner.  Their "Edelstoff" puts hair on your chest.

Dutch beer sucks, for the most part.  Belgian beer, though, which is universally available here, is excellent.  Leffe and Grimberger are my favourites.  Blond, Dubbel, Tripel - it's all great, it just depends how pished you want to get.

In fact isn't Milwaukee an indian name?

Thanks man. I haven't ventured that far south. I'm currently stuck outside of Ansbach. A lot of the local stuff is pretty solid though. I hope to get down Munchen around Christmas. I'll check some of that stuff out. I really need more hair on my chest.

Bud is so bad it makes your balls rot off.

You don't buy Lil' Auggie Busch's advertising? But he's so convincing! He's like NOSE deep in those hops!
