OK A-holes.  It's fixed.  Enjoy the orange links, because I have no fucking idea how to change them.  I basically learned scripting in four days to fix this damned thing. - Andy

QuoteTORONTO (AP) - Police have charged the tour manager of the Black Eyed Peas with assault after he allegedly gave celebrity blogger Perez Hilton a black eye outside a Toronto nightclub.
[...]
Hilton, who was at the club with Lady Gaga, said he then left the club and was punched from behind. The pop stars and the blogger were among celebrities in Toronto for the MuchMusic Video Awards on Sunday night.

I'm having trouble imagining the mechanics of this, but it sounds cozy.

Do I get credit for calling Derrek Lee's game-tying homer off of Wood an inning advance while my fat ass was parked on a bar stool at the clubhouse bar in Lake Geneva?  Cuz I did.

I'll give you credit for finding a state where your ass is only medium-sized.

That's fucking cold. I like.

Huard, might I suggest the Bible Belt? You might even fit into a Petite Tronsuit there.

Chicken fried steak has the word "chicken" right in the title.  How bad can it be?

You're talking to the wrong hombre. I drink sawmill gravy like it's water.

"Hombre"?  I don't think you belong in these here parts.

Them thar parts?

Nitrous Oxide has been banned here in Holland - presumably for reasons of toxicity.  Shame, as I had been looking forward to getting a good old lungful of gas-and-air during Mrs. Tonk's two deliveries.  I was present at another delivery, years ago (one that was nothing to do with me, really - it's a long story), and the nitrous really made the party go with a swing.

Tonk, you are quite the tease.

I would also remark that claims about the danger of smoking in the presence of ether are greatly overstated.  Ventilation is everything, just as with dentists and wooden shoes.

Fuck that - I'm not going to ignore Wheezer. So what's up man?
So... Dentists, huh?

Must be all the off-hours off-label nitrous use.

My own dentist can't administer nitrous oxide, as a result of the inadequate ventilation in his offices.  I was surprised that we wound up arguing about the (almost nonexistent, B12 related) toxicity of the stuff during my last filling.  I don't think I've ever managed to elicit any crazy conspiracy theories from him, which is just as well, since finding guys who can work competently without local anesthesia seems to be quite the nuisance.

"[Children's dentist Nancy Montgomery-Ware] hasn't filed a federal income tax return since 1999, she said, after 'doing my own research and gaining new understanding that really there is no such thing as a U.S. citizen.' Also, she said, the United States has the status of a corporation, and no person can be a citizen of a corporation.

"[Assistant U.S. Attorney Rachelle] Desvaux-Bedke cross-examined Montgomery-Ware, asking her about previous instances in which she had acknowledged that she was a U.S. citizen. In a loan application, for instance, she stated in several places that she was a citizen.

"Montgomery-Ware said she wrote 'All rights reserved' on most sections of the application but accidentally missed a couple of places. 'They didn't give me a choice to put my true status,' she said."

"The Browns have been barricaded inside their home for several months, after being convicted of tax evasion. They did not even attend their sentencing hearing, in which they were sentenced to five years in prison. The couple has not paid their taxes in more than a decade and owe nearly a quarter of a million dollars in back taxes.

"Elaine Brown once had her own dentist office in Lebanon.

"Ed Brown says he is armed and has promised a Waco like ending, saying he will not be taken alive."

"'This is so important that my personal safety and my life will be at risk while I get this message out,' said [9/11 'truther'] Dr. Kendrick. 'This is the most important issue of our time.'"

I believe the NSA and MI6 have arrangements to jointly listen in each other domestic population, so as not to violate their internal jurisdictional mandates.  Admittedly, I am unsure about this, so I am probably wrong.

It wouldn't surprise me, but there's still a pragmatic issue--Menwith Hill and Australasian post(s) don't cover all US communication satellites, for example.  MI6 seems unlikely to be able to grab anything that NSA wouldn't be allowed able to in the first place.

[Edit.--Asymmetric, right.]

What your left with is a leap of faith moment. Is your nation evil? Do you believe they are out to do harm to the average American? Do you view the US as a Soviet or Cuba style state? If you believe any of that then having the NSA spy on anything needs to be stopped. However i am of the believe that our nation does it best to protect its citizens and do the right thing in helping people all over the world. I don't mind snooping on a limited scope, i wouldn't be cool with the NSA investigating groups or people simpe because they have an opposing view to the party in power. But if those groups start buying large quantities of ammonia nitrate and talk about blowing up government places, i certainly hope the NSA is listening.

"Anything"?  NSA is still primarily a foreign-SIGINT operation last I heard.

I would be concerned with private citizens E-mails being read. I don't have a problem with private citizens E-mail being read if they are connected to terrorism.

While I object to NSA overstepping its bounds on general principles, any expectation of privacy when it comes to cleartext E-mail is folly.  The postcard analogy is correct.

I am having so much fun bringing up every questionable Obama Administration policy, action, or indiscretion. This is stuff Obama said he would change, fix, cleanup, or stop doing.

A salute to "The Organizer" by Jeff Cahill, right?
