OK A-holes.  It's fixed.  Enjoy the orange links, because I have no fucking idea how to change them.  I basically learned scripting in four days to fix this damned thing. - Andy

I guess this goes in this thread... http://www.arb.ca.gov/cc/cool-paints/cool-paints.htm

"Cool Paints" means, naturally, that dark-colored car paints will be banned in the state of California.  Gil's gonna have to get rid of his Black Crown Vic.

A sounder idea.

Assuming that there is nothing new under the sun in the Annals of Swinishness, does anybody care to be an additional admin for this small but tender bit of Facebook effrontery for when I'm further ToS'd?

I'd happily do it if I had any idea of what the question was.

Seriously... sure, sign me up.

Thanks, Tonk.  I have a sneaking suspicion that my Medicine Name, of all things, may be taken to task.

QuoteWith NBC's programming a disaster, [Zucker] is almost single-handedly ruining a once-great brand.

That one's not too far from the mark.

Best.  Looking.  Cast.  EVER!

That Stephanie Jacobsen never fails to remind me of tortellini.  I'm fervently hoping she's killed off on T:SCC tonight.

Plus, your wife can never give you shit (not sure that she does anyway) for posting on Desipio.

Congrats man!

She's let him drag her along to multiple Desipio gatherings.

Frankly, I'm not sure what's wrong with her.

I didn't have the heart to mention this in the Dead Pool (L.Z. niftar over the weekend, A"H), but perhaps the synchronicity is auspicious.

"Around this time Ziprin and Joanna started a greeting card company, Ink Weed Arts, employing Smith, as well as future experimental filmmakers Bruce Connor and Jordan Belson. Lionel and [sic?] Smith designed unique 3-D cards, based on hand-drawn images of the Tree of Life. In a 1973 interview with Paul Cummings for the Smithsonian Institution's Archives of American Art, Connor is candid about the quixotic nature of the Ziprin's commercial enterprise:

" 'When I came here to New York I think in '51 or '52 I met Lionel and Joan Ziprin. I designed some greeting cards for them. At that time they were making what we call 'studio' cards. Harry Smith was designing three-dimensional Christmas cards. They were satirical, with a little bit of black humour, and totally unpopular. They were called Ink Weed Studios. They were totally disorganized as business people. They were not a business. They were very much involved in Kabbala and magic theory, and Tibetan mysticism as well. Harry Smith was very much involved in that. They would tell me stories, fantasies. Lionel gave me a book of Kabbala that was all in Hebrew. I could not read it, but he said it was good for me and it was good luck to have. And it has a mandala image in it.' " (http://www.jewishquarterly.org/article.asp?articleid=256)

OK, that drifts a bit yang, but anyway, the three-dimensional cards reportedly didn't work.  But they did cost $20,000.  One might say, "yah, give these smooth-jazz types what they want" and just feed them a steady diet of fickle lamaist hoodoo imagery.  Still, I wonder what they'd make of it if the radio spots were all laid down against a background of selections from "Cosmic Tones for Mental Therapy," Moondog, recitations of the founding documents of the Karen Horney Psychoanalytic Center, etc.

Good luck.

Apparently, among the SBNation bloggers, there has been discussions about banning.

Guess who is calling for network-wide bans.
Where have you heard this?  Any place we can all see?

Geez. Look at chicagokill (one of SCH's owners)'s comment.

"Sorry for the trubba!"

I think the first time Erin Andrews comes to Wrigley this year, she should go to Al in the LF bleachers and deliver a bologna sandwich wrapped in wax paper. He would soil himself.

He'll say "I know who you are.  You're Pam Oliver, right What's Twiki up to nowadays?"

That miserable swine.

I live in a country where it's fairly hard to buy weed ... because those who use it tend to grow their own supply.

This reminds me of a story involving the Windsor border crossing, a large box, and a Mercury Lynx (which was really a tough little car).

But no hydroponic lamp?

It was a goodwill mission.
