OK A-holes.  It's fixed.  Enjoy the orange links, because I have no fucking idea how to change them.  I basically learned scripting in four days to fix this damned thing. - Andy

I choose to believe in a god, but not necessarily The God.

What sort?

Their brains were big enough to discover farming.

This is a keeper, though.

It's not survival of the strongest, it's survival of the fittest.

Survival of the fit.  It's a tautology.

You should be able to send your kids to a public school and not have to worry about them being exposed to a theory based on a religion you don't believe in. Let them teach creationism in Sunday school. Isn't it that simple? What am I missing here?

The fact that explicit dualists do not generally object to the flush toilet, perhaps.  Naive monist materialism is plainly "magical," in that "mind" is kind of a problem, and the presence of multiple minds requires the tacit assumption of "buckets" to hold them, and a way for them to interact, which does not remain monist for long.  Sophisticated monist materialism instead asserts that you are a machine.  The whole thing devolves into a fractious argument that is nonetheless "religious" on nearly all fronts.

"Soeur Sourire" holds a most noticeable position in the Drake-Chenault Time Sweep.  I somehow seem to mave missed the follow-up so far.

(The original speaks for itself.)

What is wrong with you?

That's rhetorical, right? Right?

Is it ghey if I think CT III, Jr. Esquire's new avatar looks kind of like male genitalia?

You should have gone into computational hydrodynamics.

Behold! Bacon Man!

Shouldn't there be a tiny version of Edward Woodward in there?

One quote switch and it's a whole new meaning, huh?

Bowling, leg-wrestling, and knight-errantry ("a most chuckle-headed trade") are separate purfuits.

Once when? Tuesday night? 40 years ago? You are a beautiful enigma.

Probably 1987.  I do have a hard time imagining bowling without tobacco in this "modern" era.

Diversey Bowl is awesome.  However, it's one drawback is that it's not really near any public transportation.  I'm just sayin'.

Only if you're afraid of buses.  I live right by it, so I like the idea.  Most nights the music is pretty good.

MUSIC?  In a BOWLING ALLEY?  I don't know what this country's coming to.

Lawn Bowl (and lounge) down by Midway Airport was a groovy spot many years ago.  I once showed up there with a head full of acid while wearing a velour paisley skirt, and nobody batted an eyelash.
