OK A-holes.  It's fixed.  Enjoy the orange links, because I have no fucking idea how to change them.  I basically learned scripting in four days to fix this damned thing. - Andy

I'm still waiting for this exchange to rise to the level of lima beans.

Will this help?

What I meant was "address the issue of the digestibility of lima beans."

The singular form is "Goy", which logically suggests one nation, but actually means one non-Jewish person.  It is literally not an insult, except that by usage it is somewhat derogatory because the context is generally xenophobic.

Just like 'shvartzer'!

Why the hell do they play Hava Nagila at Miller Park?

Desipio researchers espouse two different, yet compatible, theories:

1) What Slaky said

Perhaps a coincidence.  Perhaps a sign.

"DID YOU KNOW:  When Lowenstein came up with the Indians, the organist at Muncipal Stadium used to play 'Hava Nagila' when he came to bat, assuming that he was Jewish.  Informed that he wasn't, the organist began playing 'Jesus Christ Superstar' before Lowenstein's at bats instead."

[Further edit.--"[June 4] 1968 -- Just recalled from Triple-A Buffalo, Mike Epstein hits a two-run homer in the sixth inning to give the Washington Senators a 4-2 victory over the Oakland A's.  The D.C. Stadium organist plays 'Hava Nagila' as Epstein rounds the bases." (Day by Day in Jewish Sports History by Bob Wechsler, p. 156.)  This is seeming a touch more like a "locus classicus," as it were.]

Is mlb.tv streaming this to overseas lands? If so, is setting up a proxy DNS effective?

Are you sure you're not thinking of proxy HTTP?  It's unclear to me what role your source of name lookups would play.

Anyway, proceeding on the assumption that you're trying to evade the domestic blackout, as I recall, MLBAM uses Quova for geolocation, and they (somewhat breezily) claim to be able to see right through this ruse.  Would you be setting up this service privately?  It seems unlikely that decent throughput would be available from an open HTTP proxy.

[Edit.--Alternatively, there does appear to be an X11-based viewer for mlb.tv in alpha distribution.  This would simplify things tremendously if you can access a foreign *nix box.]

1.  Women like chocolate
2.  Man uses some chocolate cologne
3.  ???????
4.  Profit.

Yah, but it's gotta be bad geolocation.  As far as I can tell, Unilever has only started marketing this in the US, in the Los Angeles vicinity, and my /29 used to live in Colorado.

Unilever Hindustan seems to have run into some trouble with this one, by the way.  They must be pulling out a Risk board in meetings.  The last step would then be to connect Albert Lamorisse with Allen Toussaint.  Gematria, perhaps.

Is this a commonplace of popular culture?  I'm trying to figure out why fox.com is ponying it up with the "Kitchen Nightmares" reruns, and I'm guessing very bad geolocation, but it wouldn't be the first time I was "out of touch."

A bacon tiara for Jon and Irish Yeti.

This is just getting silly all domestic fairy-castle.

Have you two actually talked about the relationship and what you want out of it?
That's an awful sort of thing to say.
I've got better hair than Dr. Phil.

Dragging Gordon Liddy back into this will solve nothing.

In all actuality, I've been talking with a 29 year old in a class of mine (I don't know if that's the best route to take since I'm only 22 about to be 23).

Even the most cursory consultation with the oracle on 22->23->29 suggests that the younger one is going to dump you in any event and the older one is interested in only a dalliance.  What you need to do is to move into a treehouse--a garret likely would only prolong the "situation."

A disquisition on the neti pot.  It fails to bring the Hampton Grease Band into the equation, but still.
