How can you argue with a computer so advanced it is capable of adding up the
batting averages for the Central from last year, dividing by 6 (.263) and giving every
team that number for next year, giving the cubs an extra 3% so it's not uniform?
Why even include that column? Charging money to predict that, on average, teams
will hit average is one of the many reasons I hate Baseball Prospectus.
