OK A-holes.  It's fixed.  Enjoy the orange links, because I have no fucking idea how to change them.  I basically learned scripting in four days to fix this damned thing. - Andy

That was an overreaction.  I'm going to go to the break room.  Anybody need anything?

My favorite moment was Dwight ripping his Staples shirt off as he left and throwing it at the rack of shopping carts.  Then, arriving at Dunder Mifflin in a Battlestar Galactica shirt and saying, "Did you do this for me?" as they showed a closeup of the "Welcome Back Oscar" banner.

"If you want to ride in on a donkey, we'll get you a donkey."

"I'm gonna get my beer on.  Gonna get my 'Lost' on."

Loved Michael's line about how anybody can be so completely self "unaware" while hiding behind his door in his office.

30 Rock has it's moments...all of them involving Alec Baldwin.  I watch both shows every week.  Studio 60 seems to have turned a corner and is less preachy and more entertaining than it was.  30 Rock dies every time Tina Fey has to carry a scene.  I'm going to miss Tommy Gavin's brother, too.

I was on the Crown Royal website a few months ago and signed up to be a member of the Society of the Crown. Yesterday, I returned home from work to find the postman had delivered a nice box on the front step from Crown Royal. It contained a purple velvet pillow (with gold fringe, of course) with a hole cut in the middle to set a bottle of Crown in, as well as some personalized labels to slap on the bottle. It may be hard for me to get a cooler gift this Xmas.

Are you sure that's what the hole is for?

Guinness is tough to top, but I've never liked Blue Moon.  My girlfriend drinks it with an orange slice in it.  But then, she'll put just about anything in her mouth.

I enjoyed Dwight being separated from the others at the Benihana and yelling things from off camera to stay in the conversation.

Andy: It's called a Noggasaki.  It's one part egg nog and three shots of saki.
Michael: Carol used to get a little mustache when she drank milk.
Dwight: Carol had a mustache?  What?

Michael: Let me get the gang.  Ryan, Jim, Dwight, come on, we're going to Asian Hooters.
Ryan: Oh, sorry I can't go.  I've got a ton of work to do.  I'm not feeling well.  I have MSG allergies.  I just ate their last night.
Jim: Thanks for taking all the excuses.

Andy: It was like she didn't know me.  I'd been buying coffee from her stand for a year!  Can you believe that?
Jim: Yes, I can.

Kelly singing "We Belong" was one of the scariest things I've ever seen.  She's thisclose to boiling a bunny.

The look of terror on Jim's face when he realized Karen and Pam are becoming friends was priceless.

Loved the "Ainbowray Onnectioncay."  I don't know if Ed Helms is long for the show, but every scene he's in is tremendous.

My Rashida Jones crush has advanced to the stage where I was flipping through the channels and saw a scene in Little Black Book (the tremendously horrific Brittany Murphy-Ron Livingston movie) that she was in, and kept watching to see if she'd come back.

I thought last Monday's Studio 60 was the first truly good one they've made.  Then again, Sorkin always nailed the Christmas ones on the West Wing, too.  Probably the most encouraging thing about the ep was that showed one of the "show's" skits and it was actually funny.

They had the fat guy (Moose from the rental car commercials) dressed up as Santa.  He falls down the chimney and into a living room and you hear this ominous "news" music and a guy playing Dateline's Chris Hanson comes into the room.  Asking Santa what a grown man is doing sneaking into a house to give a "present" to a 10 year old girl after midnight.  Santa says the girl "sent me a letter" and then they go back to the real show.  Pretty good.

But the whole show was pretty good.  I could do without the whole Matthew Perry-Sarah Paulson thing because I don't care, but Amanda Peet is hot, preggers or no, and I don't blame Josh Lyman for trying to nail her.

In a commentary on the season 2 DVD the producer says that they cut about 10 minutes out of every Office every week anyway, so they wouldn't be "stretching" to make it to 40 minutes (that's like 31 minutes without commercials compared to 22 minutes without commercials for a half hour).  I'm not so sure Earl could pull that off, and I know 30 Rock couldn't.  30 Rock only brings the funny for about six of the 22 minutes they have now anyway, and that's being generous.

Last night's Office was one of the best ever.  Michael's hilarious angst face after he told everybody the branch was closing is one of the funniest things I've ever seen.  As was the whole "We did it!  We did it!  We did it!  How did we do it?" scene with Dwight.

As always, the little stuff was priceless.

Roy talking about Cinderella's great "Don't Know What You Got 'Til It's Gone"
Michael's "My Humps" ring tone
Faxes from Future Dwight
Ryan's business cards
"Show me a farm that has Phyllises and Kevins running around.  Show me that farm."
Jim's, "Michael Scott may be a lot of things.  But he would never do THAT."
Andy taunting Jim "In your face!" for Scranton closing
Andy throwing the napkins around in the break room
Stanley's excitement about getting to retire
"Am I a relocation person or a severance package?"  "Well, that decision hasn't been made and...you're a severance person."
"Like Romeo and Juliet...the Claire Danes one."
Dwight acting like the Dunder-Mifflin CEO

And on, and on, and on.  Watched it at 7:30, watched CSI.  Watched The Office again.  Tremendous.

It's like the Friends when Joey reacted to losing the soap opera award...only...you know...for real.

M: These smores are terrible.
C: Those aren't smores, they're samosas.

M: Chocolate, graham cracker and marshmallow!  How hard would that have been?

Baldwin is very funny in 30 Rock.  Morgan's less annoying than I thought, but I don't like Tina Fey.  She's just not funny.  She was the head writer on the worst SNL seasons of all time, she didn't realize that Mean Girls only found an audience because Lindsey Lohan hadn't lost her boobs yet and Rachel McAdams had just found hers and on top of that, Fey can't act.

As for Studio 60, they need to lose the scenes where they show the skits from the show.  They are terrible, and they don't do much to help the notion that Matt is some brilliantly funny writer, when the skits he's writing are pure horseshit.

30 Rock will hang around for a while, but Studio 60 costs a fortune to make and it's dying.

It's not even the only SNL-ripoff on the network.

The other one, 30 Rock, premieres next Tuesday and could be funny, but it's got Tracey Morgan involved and the overrated Tina Fey is writing it.  Though it does have Alec Baldwin.  One of my three favorite SNL hosts of all time.  Not that it has anything to do with how good a sitcom will be.

I thought it was tremendous.

Both the show, and Connie's rack.

Seriously, I was ready to be underwhelmed by the show, but I thought it was great.  I'm not sure how they drag it out over 22 weeks, but what the hell?  It's better than most of the crap on TV these days.  If you didn't watch it last night, it's on again tonight.  Watch it and then we can discuss how James VanderBeek should have been cast as the backup QB.

Last night was one of those rare times when Earl went from "The Office Opening Act" to something more.  Earl was hilarious last night.  I always like the show, but that was one of their finest efforts.  Of course it was set up as the perfect storm, it was 30 minutes of Joy in her two natural habitats, prison and a strip club.  Hilarious.  The stuff they get away with (especially now that they're on at 7 p.m.) astounds me.  Bravo.  It's almost enough to allow me to forgive Greg Garcia for creating "Yes, Dear."

Almost.
