OK A-holes.  It's fixed.  Enjoy the orange links, because I have no fucking idea how to change them.  I basically learned scripting in four days to fix this damned thing. - Andy

So much awesome. So little time to express teh joy.

I just assumed Ed O'Bradovich wrote it.

Doesn't that require you to assume that Ed O'Bradovich can write?

This may be as sensible a place as any for this.  I have 3 tickets for the NU Penn State game this Saturday (10/31) at 3:30.  I am out of town and looking for them to go to a good home.  Tickets are pretty good (20 rows up at the 10 yard line) and come with seatbacks and everything.  Will be fireworks after the game and trick or treating before.  Message me before Wednesday if you have an interest.

I figured it out guys Do not fret.

This morning on my drive into verk I had the pleasure of hearing Motard Matty and Danny Mac tell us that the reason the Bears lost is because Cutler and Olsen had dinner with Ocho last night. They weren't in their hotel rooms with their heads buried under the pillow envisioning success like their sports psychologists told them. They weren't watching film until 9 pm and then promptly rendezvousing with Mr. Sandman for a full eight. No sir - they were hobnobbing with the enemy. You hear that? They were enjoying a meal together. In public, no less.

Then after the game they were friendly to players on the other team. According to Motard Matt, they didn't kick enough ass to be friendly with other human beings.

So that pretty much solves the mystery.

You're welcome.

Also, not enough line stunts.

They didn't play "Bear Football"

And there was a disticnt lack of "da Fire" and "da Passion"

I still think my next phone will be an iPhone. I've been holding off jumping to it, though, in the hopes that Apple would decide not re-up the exclusive contract with AT&T at year's end and make a deal to jump to Verizon's better network. Seems pretty clear now that that's not gonna happen.

4G is coming out soon enough (ATT is testing it now), which should help. Interesting that Apple's first choice of providers was Verizon, but they said no.
So Apple then went with ATT. I'd have to think you could buy a used iphone somewhere and unlock it, so you can use it on other 3G networks (tmobile here.

With all my complaining about ATT, I will be admit that the iphone is the coolest gadget I've ever bought. The reliability (of the phone itself), the usability, new features, genius list, pandora app, mlb app, etc all make it incredible. And the web browser on it is the closest to using a laptop that I've ever seen on a phone. Also cool is that I have the first 3G version, but I get enough new features through software rollouts that I don't feel the need to constantly upgrade the phone, it was that good to begin with. At the end of my 2 year contract, I'll buy another one.

The irony is that the iPhones goodness is leading to AT+Ts badness.  The apps are so good and easy to use that iPhone users use about (iirc) 4 times more data than other smartphone users.  Then take into account that 75% of all of AT+Ts smartphone sales are iPhones and what happens is that when a cluster of iPhone users get together (for example, Chicago, or even worse ,Wrigley) they effectively take down the entire system.  I had that experience at the air and water show with my wife's iPhone, network made it unusable.  So the likely problem is that if Verizon gets the iPhone (or for that matter if the Pre or Droid or whatever becomes good enough to get a lot of people to use it like an iPhone) their system will likely suffer as well

Did anyone notice another thing that a lot of Jaramillo's students had in common?

Sammy Sosa, Juan Gonzalez, Ivan Rodriguez, Jeff Bagwell, and Alex Rodriguez?

None of them has been in my kitchen?

Not that I would know.  But Turner Broadcasting complained, and twitter.com/chipcaray is no more.  He did go from 31 followers to over 800 between Sunday night and Tuesday morning.  Viva la Fake Chip!

Fuck Ted Turner.

Is there anybody from Georgia that you do like?

Is that a trick question? Nobody springs to mind.

I stand by my statement.

That's stupid, Jon.  Just plain stupid.

And, fuck Coca-Cola.

Spoken like someone that's never had Mexican Coca-Cola. The Bucktown Market has it. And it is glorious.

Those of us who follow Slak on Twitter got the heads up on this like a week ago!

Along with other tender vittles of info! Follow me!

They also have it at the Costco on Clybourn.

La Concina taquiria sells it (and pretty good mexican food)  in the loop at 11 W Jackson Blvd, and another location on wells North of Madison.

I'm still undecided if I liked or hated the YouTube wedding dance deal at the end.  I guess it gave us Dwight kicking the bridesmaid in the face, so that's a point in its favor.

I thought they played it perfectly.

Would it really have been an Office wedding without a lame aping of that overexposed viral video?

Michael: "Did you see this on Youtube?"

Those. I thought it was awesome. Completely in character with Jim's douchetrain brothers to plan something like that.

Last night's episode reminded me of the one last season with the dance party at the Michael Scott Paper Company office...sure it may have been a tad UNREALISTIC to watch the entire cast dance up and down the aisle, but I'll be damned if it wasn't funny as hell.

And the small touches are the best: Michael tying non-empty cans to the back of his car, Stanley yet again giving a toaster as a wedding gift.

Also loved Jim's, 'I bought the tickets for the boat trip as soon as I saw that video' line.

I had a few  Cards fans invite me to the World Series parade already (they told me its impressive,  the last one had 3 trailers and this one was to have 4).  I responded this afternoon that, before you get to the WS, you have to take a game from the Dodgers.  Today is going to be a good day.

Purdue may want to work a bit on the ball security there.
