OK A-holes.  It's fixed.  Enjoy the orange links, because I have no fucking idea how to change them.  I basically learned scripting in four days to fix this damned thing. - Andy

Lou is moving Fontenot up to second, and dropping Theriot and Fukudome down, or something like that. That should fix it. I PREDICT (say it like you mean it one more time for Murph) that they score 10 runs today.

I fucking hate the way that guy repeats everyithing he says 6 times over before he's done talking about it. I really hate Mike Murphy too

I wonder if that buttplug will give a tearful farewell to his fans today (I know, I might be JUMPING to CONCLUSIONS to assume there's more than one) since the Macneil regime starts on Monday.

My favorite Mike Murphy memory would be in the early days of the SCORE when he would come on after McNeil and Boers.  The score was on AM-820 at the time, which didn't program at night, so in January Murphy's show was like 23 minutes long.  Perfect.

He must have said 7 sentences in that 23 minutes

He would had, except he played his full 5 minute intro first (he was on for like 15 minutes).

http://www.loweringthebar.net/2009/06/reasonable-consumer-would-know-crunchberries-are-not-real-judge-rules.html

QuoteAccording to the complaint, Sugawara and other consumers were misled not only by the use of the word "berries" in the name, but also by the front of the box, which features the product's namesake, Cap'n Crunch, aggressively "thrusting a spoonful of 'Crunchberries' at the prospective buyer."  Plaintiff claimed that this message was reinforced by other marketing representing the product as a "combination of Crunch biscuits and colorful red, purple, teal and green berries."  Yet in actuality, the product contained "no berries of any kind."  Plaintiff brought claims for fraud, breach of warranty, and our notorious and ever-popular California Unfair Competition Law and Consumer Legal Remedies Act.

Awesome.

I'll be watching this one closely, as there could be a precedent set for my lawsuit arguing that the snozberries do not indeed taste like, nor have they ever tasted like, snozberries. Lionel told me my case is a winner, or my pizza's free!

His false-advertising suit against the producers of "The Never Ending Story" should be reviewed by every law student.

Contingent fees.?  No, money down.

I actually thought those were the words of Paul, nicely done.

They were, minus a small change in the first sentence.

Here's the original link, and all of the ensuing carnage:

Hard to beleive that it was almost 3 years ago. I miss Paul sometimes, he brought a particularly compelling form of da crazy.

When does the court order expire and he can use a computer again?

I've assumed he finally found the right medication.

In his defense, I don't understand why you guys go over there, either.

Trolling is actually the exercising and honing of a skill. It is a useful skill? Arguable. But I think online time is better spent learning how to turn away other people's insults and insult them back, or best them in a debate, or appear to, than in re-posting lame "PWNED" pictures you stole from some lame website, as so many people do. Trolling takes ingenuity. As I once told the people at the Chud.com forums when I singlehandedly beat their entire politics forum in a debate (by sophistry, natch), I am operating at a very high level. The best trolls are usually better for having trolled. It helps the writing and the thinking.

I spit my TAXOLIB HOMOCRAT latte out onto my office floor in laughter.

Well, it's not from the prophet himself but I'll be damned if the flashback didn't just put a smile right on my face.

Oh Romeo, Romeo, where art thou oh Romeo...

The creditors have legal rights that the administration apparently feel don't exist.
As someone who has made a career knowing what creditor rights are I ask you one question:

Have you read the security agreement?

As I know what your answer would be, my response to you is: Shut the fuck up until you know what you are talking about.  The uniformed preaching to the ill informed makes me puke.

Oh, and how's Kerry Wood doing in Arizona?

THIS

And one more thing.  The debt we are talking about is regularly traded.  That means that the holders are, far more likely than not, "vultures" who bought the debt at a significant discount and while knowing the government was involved.  They made a bet  that, in effect, the government would bail them out by giving them more than the market was then pricing the debt.  They played chicken, and they are losing (their little PR gambit is how they hope to not lose).  The US government is doing what any large creditor in a bankruptcy does, which is throw its weight around to get what it wants (and since its my tax dollars, that's what I want them to do), and the company is using the rights given to debtors, all debtors, under the Bankruptcy Code.

If computers get viruses, can we catch swine flu on the Desipio Message Board?
How is it that swine flu has shown up in Israel?
Who here hasn't experienced swine flu symptoms after reading today's news?

I don't think that's how it works, Stew, but I would suggest increased surveillance of this  http://www.desipio.com/messageboard/index.php?topic=5671.0 just in case

Actually, it was two mistakes and they cost the Cubs three runs. He didn't drive in any so it's not like he made up for them with his bat.

Reed Johnson hasn't driven in a run all year.

He hasn't let any in either.

Can we count the four three he took from Prince as a net gain?

Now that I think about it, its less of a Ponzi scheme, but one of the things Dykstra did was provide some notes for money due to him (which he had already forgiven as part of a prior 'deal gone bad') as supposed collateral for a future loan, which is a bad bad thing.

Also still have to respect the fact he robbed a Nigerian.  He's helping to rebalance the balance of fraud.

I've always hated that fat fucking toad Dykstra.  I've been seeing articles on he and his stupid fucking business for the last couple of years, and I hope to god he ends up broke in the fucking gutter, too poor to purchase the firearm that he requires to put himself out of his misery.

Since it appears that he's running a Ponzi scheme, maybe he can share a cell with Bernie Madoff instead.  And he's a Mets fan, natch.

I think they may be somewhat significant now.  Finally over .500 with a good win in Detroit (which, I learned yesterday, sucks).

I am sure the reason ESPN added Steve Phillips to the booth was to bring in someone who sounded dumber than Morgan.  How that guy had a job as GM is amazing to me.
