OK A-holes.  It's fixed.  Enjoy the orange links, because I have no fucking idea how to change them.  I basically learned scripting in four days to fix this damned thing. - Andy

Better?

Excuse me, I have to go call the Russians and tell them to call off the attack on Louisville.

Sheee-it.  I'm a-fixing to open a matroyshka doll of whoop-ass on their pale asses.  Tell them funny talkin' Euros to git while the gittin' is good.  And leave the vodka on the porch next to Skeeter.
Doing my part towards positive next-paging.

I thought the whole point was to keep her with us.

Isn't that Megan's Law?

Yep.  I'd probably have sex with that law.

I just watched the highlights, Z was dealing.  I don't give a shit what Cecil or the Houston fans think.  73 out of 110 pitches were strikes.  He hit 98 in the 1st and stayed mid 90's with his fastball throughout the game.  His slider was on.  Regardless of where this game was played, that kind of stuff gives Z a good chance of throwing a no hitter.

Had Mr. Moneybags (and Selig) not been such a douche, the game could have been played elsewhere.  Z still would have been covered in steak sauce and win.

Also, Sweet Uncle Lou is a smart man:
Quote"We were talking before the ballgame about 90 pitches," Piniella said of the limit for Zambrano, "but I told [bench coach Alan Trammell], 'If he's got to come out of the game, you go get him. I'm not.'"

Glad to see that LaRussa is keeping it classy, as usual.

Soriano apparently values his life and respects the killing power of TRL.

Bumping the thread to introduce the Atlanta Thrashers' "Blue Crew."

A possible cure for anything blue that you might have.

What's the over/under on how many have this as their night job?

Ah, the famous Cheetah.

Looks like everyone had a ghey (good) time.  Well, except for the backwards hat crowd in the back.

Maybe I'll make it up next time.

These are good problems to have.  /just sayin'

Not long ago it looked like Kerry's career was basically over, so I'm glad to see him slaughtering the unbelievers in the closer role.  A KW punch to Mariotti's smug face is about the only thing that could make this story better.

The Marmot is obviously amazing and I'm sure he'll be closing at some point.  For now, he's a great weapon coming out of the pen as a stopper.  Personally, I think he's more valuable in his current position than as a closer.  How many times this year have we seen him come in with runners on base and strike out the side?  I'm too lazy to look it up, but it's happened more than a few times.

Howry, Marmol, Wood.  Thats a pretty damn intimidating (and usually effective) combo coming out of the pen in close games.  I'm not gonna complain, especially considering some of the shit this team has had in the pen in the past.

So why exactly does Joe Morgan still have a job?  Seriously.

Oh. So I guess you are dumber than Bill Melton.

QuoteCubs fans have long memories.

Of course they boo Pierzynski. It's only been two years since he brawled with Michael Barrett. But about an hour before Sunday night's game, a fan in the upper deck was heckling ESPN's Joe Morgan and waving a sign that read, "Ryno was better than you, Joe."

Awesome.

Now if only there was a way for Andy to call him out on national TV about the Banks Blvd. bullshit.

Last time he was here as a Cub (I'm in Birmingham) a friend of mine saw him at a deli after his appointment with Andrews and got his autograph.  He told her his rehab was going well and he'd be back soon.  Riiiight.
