The Brewers
OK A-holes. It's fixed. Enjoy the orange links, because I have no fucking idea how to change them. I basically learned scripting in four days to fix this damned thing. - Andy

If this ends in a one and done, who gets fired?
Somebody.
Wait. I mean nobody.
Nobody.
Hopefully a good number of somebodies...starting with Joe retiring. Then the hitting and pitching coaches. Burn it to the ground.
Young talent outside of Baez and Almora is regressing, or at best, not progressing. Schwarber is a huge missed opportunity to deal to the AL (which is the only place he will ever have value). In the NL he's a LH Mark Bellhorn that plays LF. Happ is a lost cause. KB certainly doesn't look like a HOF player - expectations of legit power from him should be revised down. Russell is a wife beater and overrated. There are no young arms anywhere close to the bigs. How the fuck can this vaunted front office not have a Miles Mikolas equivalent to show for their efforts?
This team isn't getting better from within. And there's way too much dead weight going into the offseason. The NL was trash this year, and this team would have been lucky to win 84 in the AL East or West.
Machado or bust this offseason.

They have a bullpen. We don't.
That trade for Wilson was regrettable. So was Joe's decision to use him there.

2003 was painful, extremely painful, but I was also fairly young, it was the first real title run they'd mounted in my lifetime, I foolishly thought they'd be back soon.
Yep. That's may feelings about 1984 and 2003. I remember in 1984 it was, "They'll be back and good for years." In 2003 it was, "Fuck, it's going to be another 19 more years."
Only off by 6.

So....the Nats aren't gonna bring Dusty back, are they?
Or are they?
Well Bryce Harper apparently refused comment when asked about Dusty's situation so I'm guessing he's not his biggest fan. Not even a cursory "we love playing for the guy."
To be fair, he had just struck out to end one of the tensest baseball games ever played. Might have been upset at everything in aWalgreensWashington uniform in that moment. I personally think Dusty should get a lifetime extension there.
