OK A-holes.  It's fixed.  Enjoy the orange links, because I have no fucking idea how to change them.  I basically learned scripting in four days to fix this damned thing. - Andy

SAM FULD

I, for one, am glad this little shit's gone.  Nothing aginst him, mind you, other than the fact that his mere existence inspires the most idiotic behavior out of the most idiotic segment of one of the most idiotic fanbases on the planet.

I'm sure that DoggyStalker is crushed, but I'm not going to read 10000+ posts at BCB to find out for sure.

...I hope Jenny Mccarthy dies of the black plague.

As well as all of these weird vaccine-hatin' moms who keep clogging up my precious Facebook news feed with stories about the horrors of vaccines.  Stop hatin' on vaccines, crazy moms.

About 20 years ago, a child in Grundy County IL (population about 30,000) died from a reaction to a vaccine. There seems to be a lot of disagreement on this so the mothers may not be crazy.

Good thing the Hawks got it done last year because it doesn't look like they are even making the playoffs at this point.

Way too early for that kind of talk. Especially when 4 points is all that separates 4th place in the West from 13th at the halfway pole.

I suppose, but the Hawks have played more games than most of those other teams. I haven't been able to watch many games, but from what I have observed they don't appear to have the killer instinct this year.

So about next week....should Lovie go into full meatball mode (rivalry/momentum) and play everyone, or play it safe (Wes Welker) and let Clay Mathews destroy Todd Collins?

Someone please tell me what to think, because I'm not sure.

There's a debate going in the Shoutbox about it this very instant. I think they should play the starters for one half, show absolutely NOTHING and rest everybody in the second half. SKO thinks you need to stay sharp and the way to do it is to go full-on against the Packers and try to knock a very dangerous team out of the playoffs, then rest on your well-earned bi week.

He says he won't complain either way. And I say this method worked for the Bears in 2006 and the Colts and Saints last year. I also say that the Bears can't afford an injury to Peppers, Urlacher, Briggs, Cutler, Tillman or ANY starting offensive lineman. So if I see every one of those dudes in sweats come Sunday, I'd be good with it.

I'd rest Briggs, Tillman, and Pisa. Those are the three with nagging injuries. The others I'd play at least a half and see where things stand before pulling them.

Add Bennett and his ankle, and you got a deal.

That means more Rashied for me and my Rashied bonar.

On my way into the Eagles tilt this year I saw a dude in an official Rashied Davis jersey. I decided that it wasn't that deep. But close.

Rashied Davis may have hands made of granite, but he's awesome on special teams. His coverage of Brad Smith on that Jets fake punt was huge. Plus he's a damn good gunner.

I didn't ask for this fucking scouting report, Matt Bowen. Ra's hands will drink the blood of a non-believer.

You need to get Rashied's jersey from his days with the SaberCats.

Cubs Chairman Tom Ricketts would like the Northwestern-Illinois game at Wrigley Field to become a tradition.

"If everything goes smoothly we would love to make it an annual event," he said Tuesday on Chicago Tribune Live. "The field looks great and it should be a tremendous game to watch."

Nothing like a battle between two mediocre teams, for around fifth place, in a lousy venue for football, but hey lets do it every year.

If it helps them sign Juan Cruz, I'd support it.

I'm actually all for this game, and I'd support the Cubs hosting a couple bowl games in there: the Jimmy John's Bologna Bowl Sponsored by BCB Nation for the 6th place SEC West team and the 7th Place PAC 10 team and then the TD Ameritrade Money Talks Bowl in which the top two teams in the country spurn the BCS Championship Game for a Mega Payout at Wrigley Field in the cold weather. I'd be for them moving a couple Bear games to Wrigley as well as a couple more hockey games. If they could figure out how to do it, I think the Breeders Cup, America's Cup and Formula 1 would be perfect for Wrigley. Especially if it means monetizing the asset, thereby eliminating the need for tax money.

I think DePaul and Loyola should restart their football programs and play all their home games at Wrigley.

Hey, let's convince DeVry to start a football program!

Okay, Alexi isn't a career politician. He just plans on being one the rest of his life. And he's still a douche.

I made the mistake of answering a telephone opinion poll regarding some of the Illinois races. When asked about Kirk versus Giannoulias, I told the person that I didn't want to vote for either of the candidates. And I may not. I have been literally buried under an avalanche of junk mail this year and it just makes me sick.

Thanks for the explanation guys. I guess my sarcasm detector is a little rusty.

The next Cubs manager is  Mike Quade

You'll need to speak up a bit, apparently.

HEY!  EVERYBODY!  THE NEXT CUBS MANAGER IS MIKE QUADE!

Who?

Someone who isn't named Ryne.  Thank god.

Absolutely.  Now that the Cubs have avoided Sandberg, they actually have a shot at winning next year!

Is that sarcasm?

Watching the Kirk - Alexi debate right now. Kirk actually seems reasonable, whereas Alexi seems to be playing to the cameras.

Difficult choice for voters, and yes, I'm being serious.

They are both douches. They are both lying, career politicians who will vote based on the whims of the special interests who own them. Big business owns both parties.

Halladay is in a world all by himself as far as SP's go these days.  I'd be surprised, but not shocked, if he threatened 30 wins this season.

Bumped for the surprising, but not shocking, 2nd no-hitter in playoff history by the 21 game winner.

Kaplan was queering off on his show about how the Cubs should trade Carlos Marmol now while his value is at its peak. I agree. They should totally trade Marmol for Roy Halladay.

But Dave Littlefield doesn't work for the Phillies.
