OK A-holes.  It's fixed.  Enjoy the orange links, because I have no fucking idea how to change them.  I basically learned scripting in four days to fix this damned thing. - Andy

Killing Them Softly
« on: December 02, 2012, 09:41:46 PM »
This is NOT a date movie.  I can't imagine a woman relating to this movie in any way.  Think "Reservoir Dogs" times 10.  The title comes from a conversation that Brad Pitt's character has with a go between who is paying him to kill some people.  Pitt says that he doesn't like to kill close up.  It is too emotional.  He likes to kill from a distance.  "Kill them softly."  Then he and others proceed to kill a lot of people at very close range.  The movie is about crime and punishment, or the lack thereof.  We are constantly getting snippets of the economic meltdown in September of 2008 when the movie takes place.  What is the point?  Goldman Sachs and their ilk steal billions and no one goes to jail, while two bit punks steal a few thousand from each other and everyone ends up dead or in jail.  As Brad Pitt says about a speech by candidate Obama, "Next he is going to tell us that we are all one nation."
If I had known that I was going to live this long I would have taken better care of myself.   (Plagerized from numerous other folks)
