To say that this is a movie for grownups is putting it mildly.  It is a movie for the diaper wearing set.  I enjoyed the hell out of it.  It takes place in a "retirement home".  In this case it is for retired professional musicians, mostly classical and opera.  It is sad and funny.  The thing about old age is that it takes away certain skills.  When those skills define who you are, you aren't you anymore.  We all lose something as we age, but our children and grandchildren still recognise us.  Not all of us are "world class" at what we do.  A 5% loss of skill may not seem like much, but it is the difference between being good and being great.  These are folks who saw the skill slip away and they fear showing the world that they aren't who they were.  Maggie Smith plays Maggie Smith, and still does that very well.  Dustin Hoffman directed and I think that Michael Gambon is channeling him in this movie.  Bill Connolly doesn't get enough work, he steals every scene that he is in.
