The Equalizer

Someone gave Denzel Washington a whole bunch of money to make this very violent movie.  Spoiler below.



More likely they gave him a contract for at least one sequel.  He plays a Jack Reacher type character and at the end, after he improbably kills off I can't remember how many bad guys, he gets an email asking him to come and help someone in trouble.  His character has a mysterious past and works at a Home Depot type store during the day and is an anonymous avenger at night.  All he wants to do is to sit quietly in a diner and read classic American novels, but they keep dragging him back in.   I kid.  The movie is a lot of fun.
