8. Ryan Theriot: He is the first starting shortstop developed in the Cubs' farm system since Shawon Dunston. An overachiever that fans love to root for, Theriot is a career .288 hitter. His best season was in 2008 when he batted .307 and had a .387 on-base percentage. He has been solid defensively and durable the past three seasons, averaging 12 errors and 150 games played.

10. Mark DeRosa: Though with the team for only a short period of time, he became arguably its most popular player. DeRosa was a key component of the 2007 and '08 division championship teams. He batted .289 with 31 home runs and 159 runs batted in during his two-plus seasons. His versatility and game-altering hits were his forte. And he could still win an election as alderman in Chicago.

At least Aramis gets some love.  But, how in the hell is Ryan Dempster ahead of Sammy Sosa?
