TCM showed this last night.  Probably the greatest depiction of a historical battle ever made.  It is about 4 hours long and Turner lost multi-millions, but it was a great way for him to spend his money.  Turner gave himself a cameo as a confederate officer involved in Pickett's charge.

It was as to scale as they could get - Turner got as many re-enactors from around the country as possible.
