I'm glad DLee looks like he's going to prove me wrong.  Anytime Felix would like to hop on board that train would be ok by me too.
You could also mention your Soto rightness.

And, unfortunately in this case, his Pie rightness.

I'd be nice to hear from Chuck right about now, considering his petulant comparison of DLee to Mark Grace.

Oh, I forgot.  Chuck never admits when he's wrong.

Am I the only one who thinks that, with his beard, Derrickles looks a lot like Lost's Harold Perrineau?

Here's to hoping he gets his bat on the BAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL today.

The only time DLee reminds me of Lost's Michael is when he's whining about the fans booing.

Are you talking about this?

QuoteWhen Lee came to the Cubs in 2004, everyone guessed he'd step up to a higher level freed from the cavern of a stadium the Marlins call home. He did, but not until 2005.

In 2007, coming back from the Furcalectomy he suffered the season before, there were times when Lee looked totally lost at the plate. He'd swing at pitches he had no business swing at. He'd take pitches right down the middle. Whatever the reason, the 2005 Derrek Lee was not around. And, given that he'd only really had 2005 as his one huge season, expecting another 2005 was not a high probability.

This past week, Derrek Lee has looked like 2005 was a warm up. He's looked like a legit #3 hitter, something the Cubs didn't appear to have going into the season. If Lee can contribute offense on the pace he's showing now, like have Good Rex leading the Bears, a radical revision for the expectations of this team are in order.

Because that's basically you just saying "if Lee keeps hitting well, it's good for the Cubs."

Basically.  Exactly, it says, he's exceeding expectations.  It doesn't mean I was wrong about last year.  It means I was wrong in thinking he'd never get back to 2005.

Didn't Chuck just compare Lee to Rex Grossman? Ostensibly? Jebus.
