Here's another place http://www.cooperschicago.com/

It's not quite as good as Smoque (I had the brisket sammwich), but it's quite good and does have a lot of other tasty foods (calamari matchsticks and mac and cheese with duck were great), a 12 page beer menu (with lots of good local brews and some of those fancy ones talked about on the other thread), and is within walking distance of Wrigley [if you drink 6 or 7 before going to a game, the Cubs dont look so bad]

Not quite as chewy as conch, but pleasantly toothsome.

I'm going on a BBQ road trip to Memphis in a couple of weeks.  Planned stops include Cleveland, Columbus, Nashville, and Indianapolis among others.  Fork, et al, any suggestions?

Don't stop in Cleveland, Columbus, Nashville or Indianapolis.

(Seriously, when in Nashville, find a good place for "Hot Chicken".)

The only decent place in Nashville for BBQ was Jack's.  It's on Broadway, and it wasn't even that great.  The bitches be smokin', though.  Too bad for Kurt (and Yeti I suppose) that they're all over the age of 7 and he can't give them Jesus Juice and molest them due to the fact that Kurt Evans is a child molester that molests underage children despite the fact that he's a school teacher.

For a child molesting school teacher, every day is like a trip to Memphis for BBQ. So why bother getting inthe car?

It's a long drive.

When we're I'm in Columbus, at least, we're I'm going to be on the look out for taco trucks, for which Columbus is apparently famous.

We've been over this.  I don't like Jesus Juice.  It's Woodchuck, Smirnoff Ice, various vodka mixes (usually cranberry, altho' mixed with limeade and seltzer is also quite good) or JW Green.

BTW, Fork, if ever for some ungodly reason you find yourself stranded in Buffalo for a meal, Suzy Q's BBQ shack is actually pretty good.  Apart from Dinosaur, it's probably the best BBQ I've had north of the Carolinas and south of Canada.
