It means Chester came to Lovie after the game, asked why he didn't play, and Lovie gave him a straight answer because Lovie seems like a player's coach who would be decent and level with the guy that he's getting cut. Chester told people that and the media ran with it. Jerry, however, didn't want the obvious truth getting out there just in case he can work out a last minute trade. So yeah, typical Angelo-Lovie communication fail, but Chester's definitely going to be gone, one way or another.

I read the article about Hughes and his role in starting a fund for baseball people who become indigent,
"Hughes has made many contributions to baseball, including starting a special fund for baseball people who become indigent."

It was then that I was reminded of the possibility that I may have a touch of dyslexia, since I read that as a fund for baseball people who become indignant.  That reading put in context the immediate reference to Aramis Ramirez.  They clearly could never raise enough money to satisfy all of the Cub's fans who become indignant.
