Japan must be thrilled about getting a real-live MLB All-Star.

Uh... Murton was never selected to an MLB All Star team.

Neither, for that matter, were Tuffy Rhodes, Micah! or BOBBY SCALES.

Casey Coleman.
This is so bad, I'd root for the Orioles over this fucking team, but I can't. Because they're a fucking drug and you can't kick it and they'll never win anything and they'll always suck, but it'll always be sunny at Wrigley and there will be tits and ivy and an old scoreboard and fucking Chads.

Casey Coleman.

I don't care what you think of Scot Feldman.  Dumping Casey Coleman to make room on the roster for a pair of boxer shorts would be an upgrade.
If I had known that I was going to live this long I would have taken better care of myself.   (Plagerized from numerous other folks)

I don't think anyone here thinks of Scot Feldman. And you're right.

The Cubs organization should issue a formal apology for placing Casey Coleman on a Major League roster.

Just that? What about all the other things they've done?

Frankly, there isn't enough time for that unless it's a blanket apology.

Ian Stewart - hopefully permanently.  I know he's only twenty-seven, and I wouldn't rule out him being a productive major-leaguer before all's said and done.  I just don't want him on the Cubs' payroll while we all find out.

Crap. Coleman cleared waivers and has been assigned to Triple-A Iowa. I was hoping he would never ever play for the Cubs organization again.

And the Cubs have signed Japanese closer Kyuji Fujikawa. The deal will be for two years with an option for a third season. Fujikawa will be in a battle with Carlos Marmol for the Cubs' closing job if the team can't trade Marmol. Fujikawa had 202 saves in Japan during the last 6 years. 1.36 ERA, 0.86 WHIP, 12.4 K/9, and 2.3 BB/9 in 369 2/3 innings.
