Well great now beef can't be the lynchpin for a Hamels trade. Nice choice, epstink.

A coke problem in Des Moines is much better (understandable?) than one in Chicago.

In Des Moines, it's meth.

Actually Des Moines is mostly overrun by young white professionals and hipsters now, so it's probably just crappy overpriced weed.

I choose to believe this is a not-so-veiled shot at Oleg.

Maybe this belongs in the "I admit it" thread, but when I saw Coke was DFAed, I thought it was Motte, because in my mind those two have just melded into a single-celled organism of suck.

Apparently people thought Welington Castillo was worth more than an erratic and promising bullpen arm. Never change, Cubs fans.

I guess I've really just seen the Cubs Den guy bitching about those people in vague terms and saying he was "shouted down for saying all along the Cubs wouldn't get much for Wely". Maybe they don't actually exist. That would be nice.

Takes a Strawman Sparring Partner to know a Strawman Sparring Partner?
Just a sloppy, undisciplined team.  Garbage.

Yoervis Medina is pretty much exactly what I thought the Cubs should get for Castillo. There wasn't much chance they'd get Ackley or Furbush for a backup catcher.
