Can't believe no one has mentioned Schaefer's. Or Dubuque Star. Man, you had to be one poor-ass, thirsty college dude to drink that piss water. So of course, I drank a lot of it. Because I was poor. And thirsty. And shiftless.

Twenty-plus years later, I've conquered one of those three hurdles, bully for me!

Would that be, "The one beer to have when you're having more than one?"

Maybe the best advertising slogan ever. Well, after "I Cuss you Cuss we all Cuss for Asparagus"

Jeebus, I'll never throw a drunken on leave opinion out there again. Seriously, I grew up a homebrewer, as well as the son of one, and take it personallly when people talk about good/bad beer(it's my problem, I know). Look, I finally snapped, I'm guilty...I'm surronded by dirtbags 24/7, alright. Flame away, I deserve it. But seriously, if anyone would like a bottle of something to share with a friend, send me a message, and I'll be more than happy to oblige, this place is too high speed to settle for less. Good bless and have a good holiday.

Flame?  Would Fatima Yechbergh "flame"?

You're not thirsty any more?

In all fairness, Pancho, I think I was the only one bristling at what I preceived to be the elitist taste in beer.  I'm very lowen-brow, if you will.  Most everyone else appears to be on the same page as you, hence 11 pages.

Speaking of all of this drunken beer talk around the holidays, I wonder what happened to HelloWorld?

Once I heard (the then future) Mrs. Forkserker sing the entire Shaefer's jingle, I damn near married her on the spot.

No mention of Stroh's? Has nobody else here had the dreaded "Morning Stroh Mouth", where your mouth feels like the inside of a rental bowling shoe?

Say his name one more time and I bet he'll resurface sometime this evening.

I've been typing his name in a lot on another PC the last couple days. I'm surprised I haven't seen him yet.

The thing is, he was--if memory serves--a qualified desipiot.  Smart and stupid at the same time, sarcastic, informed and all that.  A true, grade-A moran.  It's a shame he'd let one public display of drunkeness serve as the impetus for his self-imposed exile.

Not sure what instigated the exile, but --
