My family (well, my dad and brother) has been a Toyota family since 1982, and they never seem to complain.

Toyotas and Hondas, drive 'em into the ground (and then keep driving). It's the no-frills German Lutheran way.

It probably helps that I've never been all that into cars, but I will admit to being awfully tempted by all the Tesla Model 3 talk.

I've gotten to test drive the Model S a couple of times. It's like driving in a gat-damn spaceship. If you have a Tesla store in your area, I'd highly recommend you give it a go.

If they are anything like the store here, they'll be cool with your casual interest. I told them that my wife and I are both teachers, so they knew the S was a pretty unrealistic purchase, but they still treated us like any curious potential customer.
