Interesting that the guy shouldn't get a chance because he's had brushes with the law but Pete Rose, who bet on games, is fine.  Truth is talent (and big boobs) always, always, always gets more leeway than no talent (or small boobs).  As Bart Simpson would say, "good ole' rock".

People will say that our pitchers weren't that good, but if you look at our ERA, it is better than when the Yankees were winning their championships.

Fucking Joe Morgan.  That's not even true.

The 1927 Yankees had a 3.20 team ERA and the 1976 Reds had a 3.51 ERA.

Dude. That's a loaded statistic. The Reds played 8 more games so of course they gave up more runs. Look it up.

Nice.

Also, despite the fact that the Reds played eight more games, they still scored 118 fewer runs than the Yankees.

Yes, but Babe Ruth didn't play the game the right way.

Nor did he **slowly** savor his genius juice the way he was supposed to.

See. That's what Joe's talking about. Some boozehound runs around willy-nilly with some skirts and keeps the young guys from advancing through the minors. Who does that fatso think he is?

That's awesome that you actually looked it up.  I just assumed it wasn't true, but didn't bother to confirm.

When it comes to Morgan...why did you just assume it's true?  That makes as much sense as hitting Neifi leadoff.

Let me just say that my misreading Kermit's post was a direct result of blowing off the front of my face.  That and my jorts are a wee bit too tight and I'm getting a bit woozy....

Or maybe a better solution would be to suggest that a Denial of Service attack on ESPN for a few days could maybe send a message.

TJ, the more I'm thinking about this, the more pissed I'm getting.  I'm encouraging HJE readers to completely boycott all things ESPN.  If Cowherd doesn't want to take blogs seriously and thinks he can just fuck around with them, I think bloggers should show him what a powerful community we can be.  We can be powerful, right?
