Oh, those Brewers! They can't help it if they have 17 left feet and a prong like a fire hose. They've made an artform out of stepping on their dick. And they sure know how to take the sting out of another rancid Cub loss. God love 'em.

I was following the Brewers' game after the Cubs' disaster ended. The Brewers are really getting good at those late inning meltdowns.

Just imagine how good they'll get at it with 100 years of futility under their belt.

They've still got more goddamn pennants than the Cubs do in the last 45 years.

Shhhh.... Hush, Paul.

Looks like the Brewers aren't going to have a late inning melt down today. They're down 8-0 in the 3rd.

I meant a late inning melt down that lead to another come from behind loss. Dillion had a lead off triple in the top of the 3rd and he pulled out the Cubs' Runner on 3rd with no outs Lawn Chair TM watched the rest of the inning from there.

It's 11-0 now and they just pulled Gallardo.

Excellent. So now the Brewers have, let's see... 0 good pitchers on the roster. That's tough. At least the Cubs have Z, Marmot and Lilly. That should be enough to secure the division in a one game playoff IF Z or Lilly is the starter.

The Brewers just scored two runs and promptly gave back four in the bottom half. They may even give back a few more before the inning is over. 15-2 Rockies.

I want to personally thank Yovani for inflicting some serious-ass damage this afternoon to my 1st place standing in my fantasy baseball league.

2.2 IP, 11 earnies.

He's now free to explore other employment opportunities around the league as a result of this meltdown.  The Shaun Marcum introductory conference call is scheduled for 4PM...for those who are interested.

Yeah. Villanueva's out after giving up a three-run homer to Troy Fucking Tulowitski; Wise is in; same result. Holliday singled, and Atkins drove him in with a double. 16-2 Rockies (who have batted around twice, nearly thrice, in the first five innings).

This is an all-too familiar reminder of The Andy Sonnanstine Saga the SD Cripplers went through.  We also fondly remember Kevin Slowey's cup of coffee.  This week -- its the tag team of Paul Maholm and Kyle Kendrick!

I sincerely hope you have 80 teams in your league, or a roster size of 1,200 to be screwing with guys like that.  Eeesh.

Keep in mind, it's never too early to get started on the Rick VandenHurk era.

Sonnanstine and Slowey got looks on my Dynasty team because its a keeper league.  I (dumbly) thought I could squeeze a lil' upside out of either guy.  I can't tell you what I got out of them when I squeezed.  It was sort of like the cyst that kept me bedridden for 3 weeks in July.

Maholm and Kendrick, on the other hand, are soaking up spots on my 14-team private league.  I had to drop Michael Barrett to get one of them.  Yes.  That's right.  THAT Michael Barrett.  Oh, how humiliating.  I was forced to keep him on before Saltalamacchia was traded since Bobby Cox is a fuckwit (sitting both Saltalamacchia AND! Kelly Johnson).

So, my rotation now reads:  Peavy/Zambrano/Shields/Capuano/Suppan/Kendrick/Maholm/Sonnanstine/Burnett/Harden

I dumped Shields two weeks ago after that debacle in New York.

I smell fraud.
