Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports that the Brewers have signed left-hander Doug Davis to a one-year, $4.25 million contract with a $6.5 million mutual option for 2011.
The agreement is pending a physical. With a $1 million buyout on the mutual option, Davis is set to receive $5.25 million guaranteed as part of the contract. He could earn an additional $1 million in incentives for each season. The 34-year-old southpaw was 9-14 with a 4.12 ERA and 1.50 in 34 starts with the Diamondbacks last season and previously pitched with the Brewers from 2003-06.
