Have any Cubs' fans noticed yet that "It's Gonna Happen" is written in the font the Red Sox use on their uniform fronts (both home and road?)

If "it" is I'm going to get pissed and try to beat that guy to death with his Busch Stadium-esque professionally painted sign, then "it" is indeed going to happen.

1) "It" wouldn't be written in the actual typeface the Red Sox use as that's a custom, proprietary face created exclusively for them. It's clearly meant to be a lookalike, though, and that's all that really matters.

2) Check out this sweet piece of remaindered Olympic bid merch he's selling:



I assume the five stars aren't a mistake, but rather his clever way of suggesting that Chicago 2016 will be on par with Chicago's two World Fairs.

Still lame.

3) I'll say it again: He's pushing a 14 MB image file on every page of his site. He should be shot in the face just for this.

That's over 1 GB of bandwidth for every 72 non-cached page loads. If I were to hotlink his image right here (and I won't, for everyone's sanity), we could probably eat up his monthly bandwidth allotment inside of a week.

I think they zoomed in on one of these shirts Fan Cam-style yesterday.

It looked like it was written in Red Sox lettering.

WTF?

Nobody.

It was definitely Red Sox font, Red Sox colors, the schmo prob got a good deal on a bunch of left-over placards from '04.

He wore the matching "It's Gonna Happen" hat and tshirt and managed to get the hat on Woo-Woo, presumably gratis.
