In 1995, a Cubs fan named John Murray attacked reliever Randy Myers on the mound and was taken down by Myers. Murray was banned from Wrigley Field for one year, but now is trying to get publicity for his Cubs slogan, "It's Gonna Happen," which is printed on T-shirts, signs and wristbands.

The Cubs are aware of Murray's history and have asked Comcast SportsNet and WGN-Ch. 9 not to show Murray's signs during telecasts, according to team sources.

I was thinking as much this last night: I noticed the cameras panned across a few professionally-printed "First Place" signs... yet there was none of this douche's gear in sight.

Kerm and I saw the "First Place" sign quite clearly from our slots down the right field line.  We also had a clear shot of the Left Field Resident Masengil Sales Rep.  Kerm was asking every vendor if he sold high powered sniper rifles.

I suggested that CHuckDickens could actually make use out of the slogan by photoshoping Prince Fielder's contorting face onto a diaper-wearing baby.  It's Gonna Happen would make far more sense that way.

Yeah, it wasn't that funny last night, either.

I can forgive the guy for running on to the field to attack Myers. After all,  Myers was for shit in his final season with the Cubs, and kept giving up big hits as an undeserving Cubs team fought to stay alive.

No, I don't have a problem with that.  It's the Red Sox lettering that makes my sack itch.  What could possibly be going through this douchebag's head other than "I'm a giant douchebag.  Red Sox font.  Douchebag.  Me."?

The whole "professionally made sign" thing needs to go.  Honestly, if you're older than 12 and you make a sign to take to a game (unless it says "Oh, how humiliating" on it) you need to be kicked out of the game, stripped to your Depends and forced onto the street with a high powered hose.
